Is Taash really a non-binary? Here's an interesting interview detail.
I've noticed a pretty small detail that the director of the game, Corinne Busche said in one of IGN's videos, titled as "Dragon Age: The Veilguard – Get to Know Your Companions" .

Let me quote:
"So Taash... In the creation of THEIR arc, is one of our more complex characters. It's a journey along THEIR arc, that is about introspection..."
Why did the director of the game use THEIR instead of HER?
I think this might be an indication to that Taash is indeed non-binary.
Of course, I might be wrong...

Worst offense is, if he uses modern real world term "non-binary".
Non-binary means that the person does not belong to the binary mathematics and binary numbers way of listing results, where everything can be split into just 0s and 1s. If the Dragon Age lore doesnt have binary mathematics mentioned in its lore, its ridiculously stupid to use that term. They should have made another term for "other genders" if its important to them, not use real life modern term that has nothing to do with fantasy lore.

How can you say it's the worst offense, use the conditional "if" because you don't even know if it's true. And then continue to talk as if it's true and then talk about what they should've done instead.

Y'all don't know if it's in the game but will get worked up anyway because of rumors. Just admit you don't care if it's true or not, because you just want to be mad. Just say you hate diversity. Just say you want to live in a sterile little world where everything is exactly as you want it because you're afraid of things changing. Just own up.

DEID members sure like to do mental gymnastics just to pretend they're being reasonable.

Calm down. You are the one raging here. I was just saying that writers shouldnt use modern terminology in games where it doesnt belong to the lore at all. And I said IF because I am not blaming them either, IF they didnt do this. If its some non gender character used in their own worlds logic, then whatever to me.

Taash uses she/her pronouns as confirmed by the official marketing, her writer, and her appearance in the podcast.

The game director was most likely too used to talking about the voice actor (whose uses these pronouns) and didn't realize her mistake.
But I guess it's more interesting for you to pretend there is a conspiracy theory. You do you.

I'll be honest, I didn't do that much of a research, so my apologies if I've caused you to come up with the idea that I'm some kind of conspiracy theorist.
A blind and inaccurate accusation, but hey, nice try.
I'm sure you'll do better next time. ❤️

I think the only thing we know for sure right now is that Taash starts with she/her pronouns. That being said, I am one of the people that does think she'll come out as non-binary over the course of her character arc. I also trust the writers to do a good job with it. It's way too early for people to assume it isn't handled thoughtfully-- if that's actually even what's happening with her character.

I'll also throw out that there could be an even more interesting reason to use they/them pronouns. Now, I don't think this is the case, but if it was more of an Anders/Justice situation like in DA2 where there are actually two identities to consider, it'd just make sense.

As long as she can still be romanced by a male character - I could care less. I've dated plenty of "its" throughout my gaming career, I have no issue sleeping with aliens xD

If she looks female enough, she's a fair game.

If she looks like a yellow toad and smells like a yellow toad - she's prob a yellow toad.

Yes, because I'm surrounded by ugly ppl IRL. I play games to escape reality, not be reminded of it.

I have absolutely no idea what you just said. I've re-read it multiple times and now I feel like I'm having stroke xD

One line of Taash has been confirmed with the following:
"Non-binary. I just said. And I'm going to use "they" instead of "she" from now on."

Looks like my theory was correct.
And the leaks are getting more and more boxes checked on the list.

The ice under The Veilguard's feet are getting thinner and thinner each day it seems.

If gender dysphoria was addressed genuinely and realistically, there would be no issue.

but we all know thats not what will happen.
