"WHAT IF" theory: Playtest leaks
I've read a few threads and I have a theory on the playtest leaks.
All below are "WHAT IF" thoughts on what if the leaks are true.
Let's see...
(I'm Hungarian, my English is not the best, I apologise in advance for any typos.)

----------

1.) About the "getting paid to say nice stuff" thing...

Aren't almost all types of sponsorship contracts are just that?
Say something nice about our product and you get paid in currency or capitol (tickets or invitations to live events and conventions where our company will be present at, gift packs that might include exclusives and merch, etc.).

In some cases even if there are a few commnly known bad products, no matter how bad it is, say something nice about it to the audience, spread the word, and you'll get rewarded.

Some people might go as far as they'd lie about their true feelings of the game, just some fancy exclusives that only a few people might get their hands on...

----------

2.) If this is true, why would he leak it now and not immediately after the playtest period concluded?

Right after the playtest period, it would've been very easy for Bioware to find the person who have leaked the info. It would have been too obvious, and I guess the list of playtesters would have been short enough to make tge investigation easy.

Now, a year later? We don't know how many other playtest periods have been done after or before that playtest period, but I'm pretty sure that this wasn't the only playtest period, and the lost of participants have extendes, if not wastly, but with enough people that would make it hard for Bioware to trace the person.
And, does it even matter now, two weeks before the official launch date? I don't think so.

I mean, if all that info would have been true, and the person would've leaked it a year ago, Bioware would've had time to clarify themselves and they would've had some time to fix the issues the people would've had problems with considering the leaks. Now, they don't have any time to act.

Also, we don't know how much the developers have changed on the things that are included in the leaks. One year seems like a long time enough to change things and long enough to fine-tune stuff that the playtesters suggested, if the developers did indeed listen to them.

----------

All this above is just a "WHAT IF" theory on the theory of "What if the leaks are true?".
I'm curious about what you guys think.
