... Did I get it because I love Dragon Age and I'm very excited and want extra options just because...? Yes... But it's /really/ up to you. If you have the extra $20 and missing out would bother you, just do it. You only get the one chance. Otherwise, it is just cosmetics.
The deluxe edition is just cosmetic fluff that doesn't look that cool imo.
The preorder bonus is more of the same.
In other words unless you really like the look of the cosmetics you can safely go for the standard edition
Agreed. Though ngl, it's nice to see the blood dragon armor again. Even if its just gimmick lol. Like it was in ME2.
I personally bought just cause Im so excited to play DA again after all this time and wanted to "treat" myself. But 6 armor sets and like a couple of weapons skins are not worth 20 euro/dollars/whatever currency you have available.
So - For this time I will buy the regular edition. If they had added something like a season pass into it (with a guaranteeded expansion DLC), then maybe I would have considered it, but only cosmetics? Nah.. Nope...
I'm actually surprised they didn't try to push for DLC like they did with other DA titles.
For the record DAO had one of the most obnoxious DLC marketing with in game ads (adding an NPC in the camp to remind you that you were missing out on the full experience) and the necessity to buy Bioware points to unlock DLC content.
So a few skins is nothing to worry about indeed.
Also the refusal to sell any of the dlc through Steam making those of us who bought the game here have to buy the full game again if we wanted it on here - they released a bundle of game + dlc later on. I ended up waiting until it was on 75% sale I think to get it.
It would have been nice to have soundtrack and artwork if nothing else but meh.
I'm just glad to have a Steam native version at a reasonable price with no intrusive drm.
