What race are you going to play with? And what class / specialisation?
I still can't decide what looks the most fun this time around.

I played as a dwarf rogue and an elf mage in my Inquisition runs but they look like they have really made some great changes to the combat for Veilguard and they all look really fun.

Nothing boring or lame as playing the default characters. It's would be your single players game, play the character you feel most comfortable with.

I dunno what it is, honestly, I've never been one to spend hours in a character creator in ANY game. I just pick a preset and go.

Honestly, I wish I had that skill sometimes. XD when I booted up BG3 on full release day I sat there for a solid 2 hours unable to decide who I'm making, what they'll be like and how they look. And then I had to make a guardian, lol!

Tangent aside, picking a preset and getting right into it, is a pretty valid choice.

Why is that? you coulnd't fit that many sex affirming surgeries in to your character's body?

No, I couldn't find an option that returns my braincells after engaging with you.

I usually go with Elf - I just find them to be interesting, otherwise I go with boring human.

Definitely not Qunari, don't like how they look in this game and I usually don't make dwarves.

Plan for first playthrough: female human rogue Duelist, Antivan Crow, Davrin romance.
Plan for second playthrough: male qunari mage Spellblade, Shadow Dragon, Lucanis romance.

Oooo those are almost identical to the two choices I am thinking of going with. Still not completely decided on the Faction and I haven't even considered romances - but Rogue Duelist and Mage Spellblade are my two choices (but Human and Elf probably)

I initially thought about elf too, but I want someone taller than Lucanis and it seems like elves have some height limits. But I will see in the game.

Makes sense :)

I wonder how much the height slider will affect it tbh. Short king Lucanis ftw though. 👏

That’s exactly why I’m tempted to make a dwarf. I never play as one, and only ever play mage, so maybe it’s time to branch out for me. Plus, from what I’ve seen I’m guessing we’re going to get more lore on the Titans in this game, so I think it's only fitting.

I am tempted to do it too for a change, plus then I can lean into romancing Harding =D

I usually default to human Rogue for a first run in RPGs, but I might go for Elf given the storyline.
