My point stands for 2 and this though.
Either way, it's not impossible to have a character that the player can (at least partially) control the story of while also giving the character a solid identity within the game. It's not like it's super easy, but it's not impossible and Bioware haven't made any effort at all in doing it. They didn't in Inquisitor and it doesn't seem like they did here either.
1) Have a set main character
2) Have a set name or last name
3) Be identified by title only
4) Never have a speaking character refer to the MC by specific name
But they're always called Rook, so I don't understand what point there is in having a first and last name anyway.
