So, for instance, this happened to me: I was playing enchanter MAGE and pretty much swallowing every single enemy in the game with non stop area damage and control, the moment the best gear I had was for necrotic damage I was completely forced to change to it in order to kill the Formless one Demon that regen it's life in Docktown and was also forced to change builds to kill a Champion in the Warden's map that keeps teleporting non stop and is completely freaking annoying, because he would ignore both area damage and control and just keep on running and teleporting without taking any damage.

So, on both accounts I dont think there is a single type of class that is the best, because they are best in their respective areas and scenarios and also depend way too much on gear for Nightmare.

If you can't compound modifiers in any class you are using to diminish enemy defense and maximize your damage, your damage will be outclassed by anything really.
A lot of lovers of spell blade! The dagger+orb feels way more fluid than the staff (at least where I'm at so far) so I'm not surprised.
I had hoped there would be a comparison of relative power levels by now, but I guess that's probably a ways out still.
Thanks for the info!!
