200m loss at the ver least...
played it on another platform/way.
numbers-wise -> this implies this is the last dragon age game. bioware is being shut down in the next week or so. also it is like a at least 100m loss or so -> CEOS follow money - so this game is massive failure.
putting in 0.1% writing inclusion shows alienating the potential playersbase. less than 1% of players finish 60% of the game (see achievements)

go **** go broke. simple since years.

No. It is just like tax. The worst people on the planet doing evil, laying on the couch, will just take your money.

Same with Concord, Sony. They took the 800+ mill dollars from GTA, Final Fantasy and all other Playstation players.

Here, they take the money from all the EA sports games and send it to these evil people.

It is not even hidden, it is in the official financial reviews.

true... the last 2 years more than 2 billions of money got wasted on "nothing" . and this is behind 6 "big" games... maybe more but 6 games i personally can name will achieve 2b easily with AC, concord, DATV etc.

Which explains why ultra-conservative media is so successful, while Barbie, Drag Race, Mass Effect, etc continue to make money.

Give it a rest, kid.

It's a good thing these studios are sacrificing themselves for their beliefs.

Soon the staff will all be at other studios destroying them from the inside out.

i mean you are right. 2 billion dollars lost on 20 trillion dollar companies in total.. who cares. right? the problem is that "small" developer teams will be abandoned in the process and IP's which are worth more than that are lost as well. look at metal gear solid and now "dragon age"

maybe but companies follow money -> which means they will react and recognize very soon what is causing the failure -> so DEI goes away most likeley. a high price to pay when Dragon Age is gone now.

If the writing in the new Mass Effect is like this they are toast.

i assure you it will be "better" since companies react to money loss instantly. nothing else triggers more than this - but at this point it is hard to tell if it's already too late or not.

Dude you are so wrong.

The game was almost 10 years in development. If wr loom at 2 other examples (Concord and Skull&Bones), the budget is closer to 800M. I'm guessing the 200M figure floating around is only for the last iteration of the game and doesn't account for all the times they had to scratch everything (like they did for Concord which initially was estimated at 100-200M)

So it's probably a 700M loss since sales has dried up and players numbers are already freefalling. I doubt BioWare will close down next week though; Either EA will force ME5 to be live service, or they'll fire everyone not working on ME (or both).

i did not found any source which suggest that high of a bugged - but if so than Bioware is done for goof and Dragon Age is also never been seen again. this will not take a month to see the news happening.

But my best friends sisters cat told me is was a 2 billion loss.

Depends on who the writers are. I should look that up.

HOW on earth does this game get mostly positive? there is no way in hell this game gets that review positive bombing at the finest this would be negative.

since one year or so developers can control reviews shown based on account score and age and some similar criteria. revies on steam are not real anymore.
