Very interesting result on scraping the reviews.
I wanted to know how accurate the review summary was, and other bits of data - as a Dev i always will code out a solution to a problem where possible.

So i built a quick web-scrapper using .NET std 8 - and Selenium to load then scrap the DOM tree of the review page for this game via an automated Chromium webviewer.

The results were actually quite surprising. Source code available upon request.

Actually would not be hard to do this, as it's just parsing the strings. So i could re-run it and record strings commonly found in review bodies, lol

oooh! Can we also include catch phrases from youtubers?
Someone scrape the forums for how many times "HR in the room" got used! We can then have meta entertainment from both sides about who uses what phrases the most!

its good just buy it, been playing RPGS for over 30 years. this is not a bad game. Just watch TV and skip the dialogue that gets generic.

Game plays well and looks really good, has good loot system, and tons of content if you enjoy ARPG's. Does it take risks? no. Can I be Evil and steal/murder/cheat? no.

It's just a ARPG that takes no risks but has good gameplay and graphics.

Eh, i did buy it, and refunded - what i was trying to see is if reviews are still a reliable metric or something else is going on. I have my own reasons for refunding it separate to the reason why i wrote this scraper. I didn't want DAV as an ARPG, if i want that i could just save money and play ARPGs littered through out my steam lib.

This experiment did provide some clarity on deltas between summaries, and actual review counts. It did prove that the numbers are actually quite different.
