DATV is a total game changer and inclusion is here to stay: deal with it!
You better get used to it, cause we’re gonna have inclusion, diversity, and representation in every game, and no one’s gonna stop us!

If you’re into it, clap along, and if not, well, too bad for you.

While i know he's just jester farming i do feel an itch to respond lol

No one cares if the game has 'representation', what we care about is if the game is ramming an agenda down my throght. Bioware did game with 'repreentation' done right, the original Dragon Age, NWN, Jade Empire.

Bring that level of writing and you'd have a lot more people welcoming it

I'm here for it. Dragon Age has always been diverse and never afraid to do what other games won't. I love that about them.
Right cause thats what made DA lol.. you seriously have the wrong mindset if thats what drags you to their franchise.

True inclusion and true diversity has existed in gaming since the beginning. It didn't require forcing anything. It wasn't until bigots wanted to destroy the hobby that we started to see forced inclusion and forced diversity, both being done in a way that results in exclusion and discrimination. In other words, inclusion is being pushed out in favor of "own the chuds" discrimination.

Correct. This is a list of agmes going back to the 80s with LGB characters and no one complained. Why? The games were good. Now the games are shallow vehicles for a 'message', with bad gameplay, like Veilguard

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_with_LGBTQ_characters

Exactly. Inclusion isn't the real issue, it's just the knee-jerk defense excuse by those defending bad writing. BG3 was loaded with gameplay *options* which included LGB choices, and it had a great story with great writing and dialogue. This game (and many others) are being written by inexperienced (both in terms of writing and life) people, and the stories and characters aren't cool.

The problem is that there are people, you could say 'activists' , who don't care about games but will buy anything that is marketed as being LGBT friendly, just to support the 'cause'. That's why you get people saying this abysmal game is great, because they don't know anything about good games, they only care it's 'inclusive'. And they don't know games have always been inclusive because they aren't gamers
Ah, the classic ‘real gamer’ gatekeeping! How original! It’s hilarious how you assume that anyone who enjoys this game isn’t a ‘real gamer’ just because they support inclusivity. Newsflash: diversity in gaming isn't a trend; it's a reality. Maybe if you stepped out of your narrow bubble, you'd see that gamers come in all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, and that inclusion enriches the gaming experience. Keep whining about 'activists' while the rest of us enjoy a game that’s not afraid to embrace new narratives.
No clowns for you.

Yeah, sit down for this. The numbers aren't looking too good for this game.
Let's just do some basic math.

The game costs 70 bucks.

On Steam, we have a top player count of 90k players.
The estimates right now are at 464k and 577k based on VG Insights, Gamalytic and defenders of this game claiming it sold 550k. Where they got this from I have no idea but let's just high ball the game in its favor and say 600k.

This game was in development hell and had to restart development. Inquisition cost was 150 million. If everyone would buy at full price (best case scenario), that would mean they need to sell 2,1 million copies. It sold 12 million in 10 years time, with a spike during the launch of Veilguard.

Now game costs keep rising. This was 10 years ago! This is still probably too small but let's just say it costs 200 million to make Veilguard. That would mean the game needs to sell 2,8 million copies to break even! Even if you were taking the high ball for this game at 600k, that is not even a third of what they need to break even, let alone be a profit and keep in mind! The development of this game was not smooth and had to start again and took around 8 years! Do you know how much money goes into that?

Soooo sorry to say. Companies might still go for the DEI funds, but they ain't doing this for you and once that DEI funds dries up, they will drop this woke crap faster than Concord's shutdown.

No one needed DEI initiatives in the past to make a good game with inclusion. Now all of a sudden all AAA companies need a dedicated team to make sure the game isn't 'offensive'. Then people wonder why everything is woke and it's probably because inclusion isn't natural anymore, it's all very artificial thanks to these writers who think having a modern day term 'non-binary' in a medieval fantasy game qualifies as good story telling and inclusion.

Funny how the inclusion and diversity always stops at the point when people have different opinions or thoughts.

Well you can keep the game I have moved on. You are so wrong on the things you think people are relay mad about. It is the writing in this game and the bad game play compared to older games that did it better. Oh and before you tell me the older game did not have good writing that should be a reason not for them to step it up when we had games like BG3 that did it better than this game. you can have this and all the other games they come out with the crap writing. It is the same as all the movies and TV shows it has nothing to do with woke or crap like that you can see it in the past if you look. The thing is in the past they new how to wright it way better then now you might want to go back and learn some history and how things were done better yeas ago. But keep die on that hill if you want. I care about woke as long as it is written good. But I guess not every one can have taste you need some one to eat the garbage so have at it and enjoy.
