The amount of anger this game has inspired is giving me life.
If you're going to complain about the top scars complain about the vitiligo too.
If you're going to complain about the story complain about the other games too.

A lot of people here are just mad a big game has been made that they don't feel is for them. Fine, accept it's not for you and go buy Black Ops you absolute weapons.

Or keep talking about Dragon Age and keep it in the news, I'm sure BioWare and EA don't mind the free publicity.

Nobody cares about revitilago or whatever. Stay away from beloved franchises and you wouldn't see people complaining.

That is the best what people can do if they like a game. You will always have people which complain about it. If you want to interact with them learn to block people or ignore them. It’s always the same sad story here.

I think it is a good game and was worth my money. I still have some points of critic but nothing which makes me regret purchasing it.

Said everyone in the Dusborn and Concord boards.
People DO complain about the other games. Duh.

You haven't played it, you don't own any DA games, please, tell me about this "beloved franchise". :)

OK so tell me what in Veilguard isn't in a codex or loading screen from the other three. If you're so in love with Thedas tell me the issue you're having with this game and how it's out of place compared to the other games.

That is as much depth i expect from somebody who likes this game. The sad thing is you are just horrible as the people you complain about while thinking you are not and are very afraid to look into the mirror yourself.

True but I'm talking about people like Deroldsen who seem to have an issue with this game despite liking the others. I've got no idea what it is in the story that is out of place in Veilguard because most of the plot points have long been speculated about given the lore of the first three.

Dragon Age: Veilguard is, in many ways, a return to form for Bioware's beloved RPG series. Right from the start, it’s clear that this game is a return to form in terms of its deep, character-driven storytelling. The narrative pulls you in with complex moral dilemmas, making Veilguard feel like a true return to form that fans of Origins and Inquisition have been longing for.

In its gameplay mechanics, Veilguard is another welcome return to form. The combat system reintroduces tactical elements that reward careful planning, which is a refreshing return to form for players who enjoy strategy over button-mashing. Exploring the beautifully crafted world of Thedas feels like a return to form as well, as each area is meticulously detailed and brimming with lore.

The companions you meet and the choices you make all serve to reinforce Veilguard as a return to form for meaningful interactions. Dialogue trees are rich and allow for nuanced responses, which is a true return to form for fans who miss the emotional depth of previous entries. Visually, the game is stunning, with a dark, immersive atmosphere that marks a return to form in terms of art direction.

Even in sound design, Veilguard shines as a return to form, with sweeping orchestral scores and ambient sounds that bring the world to life. The developers clearly went back to the series' roots, crafting Veilguard as a dedicated return to form across the board. If you’ve missed the magic of classic Dragon Age, then Veilguard is the ultimate return to form you've been waiting for.

Did you have a problem with an Inquisition loading screen talking about same gender relationships in Thedas? Did you have a problem with Krem being trans? Did you have a problem with Zevran constantly coming onto you in DA:O?

I feel like people are complaining about this game when this is a thread that runs straight through every DA game. What is it about this one specifically you dislike given your love of the franchise in general?

Hell even with those who have it because of injury to the skin, or even those who have it because of some medical condition, with others having it be far more pronounced because their skin tone is genuinely darker than say average caucasian who may have it.

No one complains about it because most don't know it exists, and those who do aren't making it their personality, nor are we having people in mental break downs and dressing up to display it either.

OH baby, you've no idea the amount I've 'b*tched' about how the story was slaughtered in other games, or how it was ruined, or about why xyz was just crappy because of nmp reasons.
I can actually respect someone who has never liked DA games because they've always been woke, I would question why you're here ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about them though, do you not have better things to do?

My largest complaints are the moronic writing and general dumbing down of the series. Allowing characters to just start as "antivan crows" as if that is somehow equivalent to grey wardens. The treatment of mages, blood magic, ♥♥♥♥, DRAGONS. Remember when origins got criticism for not having enough dragons? Thats because its the dragon AGE, not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dragon hunting simulator. The series had been going downhill since origins TBH. The qunari are a religious order/ culture, not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ oxes, opposed to magic. Dwarves cant even use magic, and whats with all the dwarves just running around, what, abandoning their kingdom? What caste are they from? no, just give up on any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing. The art style is a terrible choice, the floating armor pieces and victorian fascinators dont help. Its largely just dragon age childrens edition at this point. If you would like me to criticise the actual game, gameplay etc, i will happily tear that apart as well because its equally juvenile and is roughly equivalent to crap fantasy games from 20 years ago.

Edit: and a complete lack of contiunuity, but i mean, thats obivous.
Mate you can kill what, 11 dragons in Inquisition? 12? If you have the same problem with that game then cool, I just don't see why some people are coming out of the woodwork to have an issue with this one specifically.

As for the rest: the Qun is a religion but like Christianity there are many ways to "follow" any religion where there is not a strictured way to live. The Qun requires all to act for the whole but we see in politics that two people can have very different ideas about what is good for the whole. If the Arishok in DA2 had turned up and just started burning Kirkwall it would have been just as Qunari as doing what he did. And they are extremely wary of mages as shown by the treatment of their own.

For centuries Dwarven topsiders were not allowed to return to Orzimmar, it makes sense there are a load of dwarves running around not being "dwarven". They aren't from a caste, they were born topside by topsider parents, thus casteless. This is in the codex in previous games, it's not a sudden departure. Also let me know how you feel about Bodahn being fine having just arrived topside.

Art style, gameplay, that's what you like or dislike so no point arguing over it. You want to talk lore though I am here for that!
