DA:Origins was more "woke" than Veilgaurd
And I like this game more. Not because of "woke" reasons, I just prefer a zippier action-combat system, so this is way more fun.

DAO has gay and lesbian people. What else ? No pronouns, no trans, no "non binary", how is it more woke than Veilguard ?

Having characters that are overtly homosexuals in 2009, several years before gay marriage was legalized is way more bold than having a binary person today.
It's funny when the Veiguard fans claim to be DA fans but then crap on Origins just to boost up the crap game in comparison that is Veilguard. And then (because they live in hypocrisy) claim everyone uses woke as a catch all and then they do the exact same thing as if all things LGBTQ is woke.
Anyone who says they prefer this game over Origins and are being completely genuine need to be sectioned, for their own sake and the publics.

"It had gay character, therefore it woke" that's not how it works.

these days people consider anything to have gay, bit, lesbian, etc woke, DAO was indeed not woke it was not forced down peoples throats as well you could choose to not even romance certain characters and or even not recruit them all together, unlike this game that forces everything down your throat, what ive seen in lets plays and posts etc. so i agree it is not more woke then this game. but people want to use excuse like bg3 as woke, that is not forced upon you as well.

Play DAO again you clown, Shale is not non-binary.

Shale says that thecically she is no longer a woman, because she is now a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ STONE GOLEM and a stone has no sex, yet almost all of the companions refer to her as a woman because when she was a dwarf she was a woman.

even in her ending when she recovers her body they say that there is a Dwarven WOMAN killing pigeons all over the place.
You come from a country where stones have sexes and are not considered neuter?
i think you answered the wrong person, buh yeah stones has no sexes. that's why everyone who says shale was a “woke non-binary” character is out of their mind.
I don't think you know what woke means. A lot of people don't. Media and conservatives have distorted the term greatly.

This is a good example of people not knowing what the word woke even means. Woke is being beaten over the head in a ham-fisted, poorly written, pandering way. It doesn't mean being inclusive. That's something this game, unfortunately, does in spades.

It's tiring to have to explain to people all the time, but most of them are being dishonest anyway, they don't care what you say, they just want to push the narrative that everyone complaining are bigots or something.

It does have "non-binary" you clown. You literally ask Shale about their gender and they say they don't identify as either one.

All of you people talking about how DA:O was the best game in the series yet I suspect 99% of you haven't even played the damn thing

The notion that a pile of rocks identifies as neither male nor female does not sound like a woke notion to me. It's sort of expected.

Shale was a dwarf woman before becoming a golem and more or less became a golem because they didn't feel "right" in a dwarf woman's body.

See above comment.

Again people who literally never played Dragon Age Origins, probably googled "Shale" because I mentioned them, saw it was a golem thing and were like "Oh well yea of course a rock monster has no gender"

Not realising that the rock monster was a dwarf woman who transferred herself into a golem body because they felt they didn't belong in their birth body
(More to it than just that, like this they could also serve and defend the dwarves better etc etc but I'm not gonna write out Shale's entire story here)

WTF are you talking about?

she volunteered to become a golem like hundreds of other dwarves because the dark spawn were about to wipe out the dwarves.

literally in her ending she goes to tevinter with wynee because she wants to see if it is possible to get her body back.

when she gets her body back at the end they say there is a dwarf “WOMAN” killing pigeons out there.

IF they get their body back, that's a CHOICE you can make and not necessarily canon. And OTHER people refer to them as a woman. Shale literally says they are gender neutral when you ask them and doesn't ever refer to themselves as being a woman.

Even when talking about their past they say they never really felt like a woman, it's WHY they volunteered to become a golem.

Again, not the only reason, it was also because they wanted to defend the dwarves against the darkspawn but it was why it was so easy and they barely gave a second thought to becoming a stone monster because they felt they didn't belong in their original body.

Idk when the last time you played Origins was or how much of Shale's personal story/quest you played through but people saying things like "nonbinary" weren't in Origins are wild to me
