heart of corruption quest

i am on the last corruption source but i think my game is bugged because it takes me to a necro door that i cannot open on the island with the spirit market. is anyone else having this issue?

Some quests, require you to progress the main story, before you can finish them. Assuming you are on the right height, as the maps are quite spread over levels.

I'm curious about that door too. I've progressed up to chapter 10 in the main story, yet that door remains locked.

You do not enter through the door, you enter from the other side of the market, but you have to have completed the required gate quest first.
