So I genuinely believe they don't know how to any more
there are no future dragon age plans.
And there were very clear story moments where their lack of presence was keenly felt, hell we even deal a lot with the Warden calling, what our Warden was dealing with from what we know in Inquisition and we hear a bunch about Free Marches and such, Kirkwall being evacuated, we could have easily heard about them there.
I absolutely refuse to believe that it would have been too hard to account for their existence at the very least, especially given we have a letter system, it didnt even need to require voice dialogue, it is simply a choice from the devs, one I cant disagree enough with and one that definitely impacted my enjoyment of the game :X
It may sound like hyperbole but honestly, seeing the journey of our characters evolve and continue over the next few games, and always having the possibility of bringing them back, and of course having the game world feel uniquely yours based on your past choices is one of the main things that set Dragon Age apart for me. It also doesnt help that Rook is barely a player character.
Its a baffling decision all around, DA Keep shouldnt be wasted like this and neither should all the decisions from previous games.
Indeed. Why bother creating a franchise players can be a part of and influence the worldcrafting with their decisions, when so few of their meaningful decisions carry over from one game to another?
It's almost like our choices... don't matter after all.
If by "Keep," you just mean a lack of past choices mattering, well, that's another story.
DAO fans have been forgotten... there is no mention of the warden at all... i just reached the scene and felt soo bad not hearing about any of the DAO companions etc.
