Charged Light Attack vs Charged Heavy Attack

I'm confused. I thought a Light attack was when you tap the button and a heavy attack was when you hold down the button..so how do you do a "charged light attack"?

There is also the shift+tap. I'm pretty sure that's the charged light attack, but don't quote me on it.

Maybe on controller but on mouse?

As a rogue, I have left-click for dagger, right click for bow..there is no button for light and heavy

left click light attack hold left click charged light
shift+leftclick heavy, hold shift+left charged heavy

hold [whichever key combination is light or heavy attack] seems to be the command for charged light/heavy attack.
