Any point being a ranged character?

The mobs ignore your party members and run straight for you. Bosses (i've just got to the first dragon) only attack you. What use is ranged? I know Davrin has a taunt but it's not overly effective.

Any tips?

Kite, basically. Double dodge, attack a bit, double dodge.... Or just play Warrior and face tank throw your shield into anything and watch it bounce around destroying the world whilst healing you back to full health (with the right build of course).

That's why as a mage I switched my ranged build with staff (right side of the grid) to the bottom one to use dagger + orb and now the game is too easy, I even kill the option level 50 boss with my level 35... Oh and I play in "difficult" mode
