Crash issues.
Hello, I got a lot of crash when I playing it.
Sometime it's crashing after around one hour of playing, sometime 20-30min after launching the game, sometime just at the launch.
I got DirectX error two times on easily 20 crash.
It's complety random those crash, during cutscene, during fight, when I search loot...

Otherwise those crash, it turn perfectly. No drop, no shuttering.
Really don't know what causing those crash.

Thing I try to fix it;
-Put everything at the lowest setting and lower resolution (normally playing at 1440p)
-Reinstall my GPU driver while using DDU
-Check update (just needed to updated my motherboard bios, so I did it yesterday),
-Window mode/Fullscreen mode.
-Update Windows (was on Windows 10 and I just pass on W11 but nothing change)
-Deleted Shader caches
-Check files
-Undervolt my GPU and put limitation to my CPU to not pass a certain amount of pourcentage used.
-Clean my PC and change thermal pastes on my CPU just to be sure it's not overheating even if on my NZXT Cam software, my GPU and CPU don't go over 70° in game.

Setup;
OS: Windows 11
Drive: M.2 (Samsung 990 Pro)
GPU: RX 7900XTX
CPU: I7 13700KF
RAM: 32GB DDR5 (6000Mhz)

I wonder if someone got those crash too and if there is something to do for trying to fix it?

Thx in advance for helping me.

You are not alone. I've been having this issue since launch. I started the game and played for about an hour and then the game crashed for a DirectX error and advised I update my drivers - but I have, and I have the latest drivers. Since then I have constant crashes, sometimes after 1 hour, and sometimes after 15 minutes. I get the same error message every time. The game runs smoothly and shows no evidence of stuttering or lagging or being under high strain.

I've also had this problem; the game crashes and I get a notification indicating that my GPU has timed out and I should update my drives. Like Zeraiya, I have the latest drivers.

I have the same problem. The game exits to desktop after 5-20min playtime. It's literally unplayable like this. I've done everything the internet offers to solve this problem. Unfortunately the problem still persists and without an error message I don't have a clue what to do. My only hope right now is, that there will be an update in the near future which can solve this problem.

There are a few performance mods on the nexusmod website, maybe they can help ?

Had the same issue, disabling "Strand Hair" and "Dynamic Resolution Scaling" fixed it.

I already tried it with disabling "Strand Hair" and "Dynamic Resolution Scaling" and I had my BIOS updated a few weeks ago, but I didn't try Nexusmods yet.

**SOLUTION for people with 13th or 14th gen Intel Processors**

While obviously I can't promise that this will work for you, after getting 2-4 CTD every hour for the last days since the patch, this is the ONLY thing that has worked, and it hasn't crashed since.

Update your bios. Especially if you have an Asus board. If you use the MyAsus app (Armoury Crate works too but its one of the worst softwares in existence) you can see your current firmware version. If you have anything older than I believe it was like 16, you need to get the newest. I updated to version 1805 and haven't experienced a crash since. It specifically even states in the BIOs updates that they added support for the newest gen Intel processors, so there's a good chance it will help fix other errors you might experience on your PC, too. Just go to System update, and download the driver there. Then use the renamer, then Run the .CAP file. You can either load it onto a USB, or depending on how new your board is, you can access your folders directly in the EZ Flash utility in your BIOs. Just hit F3 when you start it and you should be able to go from there. I assume its similar for other boards, but I have Asus so its the only one I know step by step how to do.

It might seem like a pain, but its 15 min of work that will fix the stability of your PC and -probably- fix all your crashing on DA.
