Mage Spirit blade
Is this trait bugged?

Its three left clicks followed by a shift left click yet my character doesn't perform the final skill

I’m having the same issue but can’t find any info online. Did you figure it out??

You have to hold shift I believe, and I think it may need to be a strong attack.

I know on my rogue it didnt seem to work either, but ti works...more often if I hold shift down. Either way its iffy it works or not, but I can get it to more reliably work that way.

Works for me. You do three light attacks, and when they get the arcane bomb debuff just do shift+light and the spinning blade will appear and detonate it.

I also can't get it to trigger. I've remapped my heavy attack, so I wonder if that's the problem.

also having this issue, anyone find a solve yet?

It's supposed to be 3x light attack > heavy attack which sometimes works, sometimes doesn't for me.

What always works for some reason is 4x light attack > heavy attack, that will always toss out the spirit blade for me. Doesn't need any arcane bomb either.
And this also works with the upgrade to do a double spirit blade when the spinning blade returns, just press heavy attack again and it tosses it out again.

(playing with a controller so don't know what the kb inputs would be xD)

There is a difference between tapping the button and holding the button for a charged attack. Thats probably where the issue lies.

Nope. Not charging anything. Nice thought, though.

Okay, knowing that it'll activate even if there's no Arcane Bomb to detonate was actually useful, because that meant I now know I can test it without having to stack an Arcane Bomb on somebody. So after testing, now I can say I think the timing is just weird/overly tight and/or isn't always registering properly. I can sometimes get it to trigger with a weird gap in the timing; I can sometimes not get to trigger without any gaps. Even if it worked perfectly 100% of the time, which it doesn't, the fact that it's only a final and only with specific (and seemingly inconsistent) timing makes it a really ♥♥♥♥ Trait that would otherwise be extremely useful to save us from having to physically run up to somebody to hit them with a heavy attack to detonate Arcane Bomb.

Works perfectly fine everytime for me.
You dont even need enemies for this to practice... and you can update it to get another spin-around... works as well :)

Try it after the 4th attack
Shot From Guns Nov 6, 2024 @ 3:32pm
It does also (sometimes) trigger after the fourth, but why would I want to put a longer chain before something that in any reasonably designed game that people actually playtested would trigger instantly? At this rate it's literally faster to run up to things and hit them than do 3–4 light attacks every time I want my heavy to be ranged to detonate an Arcane Bomb currently outside of melee range, which I'm constantly stacking on everything thanks to Arcane Strike.

Okay, after playing around with it more, it really feels like it's consistently triggering after four light attacks. So that's at least a workaround for times when it makes sense to actually do a whole long combo instead of just running up to do the usual heavy in melee range.

This must be a bug. It only triggers after 4 light attacks.

Edit: actually, I figured it out. You need to hit the heavy attack quickly, as soon as you see the arm rising up during the 3rd light attack animation.
