Stuttering - Any Idea how to fix?
I’ve run into a technical issue. In larger cities, I experience what I call "stutter phases." My FPS drops dramatically to about 3, with GPU usage plunging to around 20%. This stuttering lasts for 5-12 seconds, after which the game stabilizes back to a smooth 60 FPS for around 5-20 minutes. It happens frequently in cities, sometimes in the forests and necorpolis, but never at the lighthouse. When stuttering isn’t present, the game runs efficiently, with my system hardly breaking a sweat according to Task Manager.

I updated my graphic driver, i also have no heat problem and as said my ressources are fairly unused while playing GPU at max 82%, RAM 70%, CPU 65%. I play in 1440p on overall high settings.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
32 GB RAM
Installed on a SSD

Seems to be happening to a lot of people, i have it on a 4080super with Ryzen 78003XD

If you do a google (not meaning to sound rude sorry) theres a bunch of fixes people have tried and worked for them others just have no luck

Unfortunately google brought me here

I'm not getting stutters but my CPU usage is like 20 degrees hotter then any game, especially in cities, lowering the settings does nothing. So it's clearly a technical bug.
Yes, lower textures to medium.

check if ur motherboard needs drivers, put it in a NVme SSD hard drive if u have one

Speech therapy at least once every 2 weeks for as long as it takes should help with a stutter at any age.

is it an intel, a new one? like a 14000 series?

I have an 11900 and it's fine so far. I heard the new intel's are all overheating in tons of games tho. Its gonna cause a massive shift in the market cus intel is like 80% of all cpus right now lol

Disabling NVIDIA Reflex Boost (but leaving Reflex on) solved stutter for me.

strange everytime someone mentioned it stutters or crashes, so far i got out from the forum its only nvidia users. Could be wrong but i dosent saw someone with that problems and a amd gpu.
Maybe the cpu is the wrong end to look and its the gpu

I experienced similar issues (1440p, 3060 Ti and 13600K) when running driver version 560.94. I had downgraded to that driver because of other issues (DirectX crashing). After some research I switched back to driver version 566.03, and applied the recommended graphics settings from digital foundry for 8GB RAM Graphics Cards:

Since then the game runs fine without major stuttering (some fps drops to around 50ish with raytracing reflections on). Major differences to the high preset would be medium texture resolution and probably raytracing settings. Hope this helps.

The only thing that worked for me (saw the suggestion in another post) after tinkering for 3 days was to undervolt and underclock the CPU in the BIOS. Of course it has to be done carefully, you need to write down the original values and just go down one step (in my case the original voltage was 1.200V and the BIOS let me change it to 1.195V as the next suggested step down, the Clock multiplier was set to 36 and the BIOS let me go down to 35 as the next suggested step down). I intend for this to be temporary as I hope EA releases a patch soon! Or work with Nvidia to release a driver update.

right, get lossless scaling off steam. Run it in, use the frame gen option in lossless scaling only, double your framerate in the game (that youve set to a borderless window)

You've got to be joking.

How did you even have the idea to go that far into the list of possible fixes to figure that out lol?

The state these AAA games are releasing taht THOUSANDS of people have worked on for years and years is prty nuts to me. i just dont get it

its 7 bucks man lmao.

ANy free programs that can do this?

This is so stupid that WE have to fix the problems these devs created and failed to undo. and we do it for ALL of these games EVERY DAMN TIME.
I had this issue along with the game CTD after you wake up for the first time in the lighthouse. What I found to be very helpful was to cap the framerate to 60 or 90 (can't remember off the top of my head). Game hasn't stuttered or crashed since
