All these forum posts and youtube videos make me worry about the future of gaming

It seems that toxicity and hate has become the norm in gaming as in politics. It matters less for people if the game is good, and more if it has any lgbt stuff, even if they can ignore it, since its not made for them.

As someone who loves games and played them for decades, seeing this new trend makes me sad. In my eyes what matters is that a game first has fun gameplay, then good story, and finally good graphics. This game checks all the three boxes. If it has some lgbt stuff I am not capable of understanding since its not made for me, I simply ignore and move on, its added for others to appreciate, and its fine, why would I mind.

But some people influenced by the online hate start playing with their vision clouded. Suddenly, because the game is classified as "woke" it apparently doesn't have good graphics, even though it does, no good story, even though it does, and the gameplay isn't as good, even though it clearly is.

This hate that clouds the judgement is getting too far, and its sad to see. Some big youtubers are also taking advantage of it, getting poisoned by it, and spreading it further. Rationality should win, not hate.

I have 2000 hours cumulative between all three Dragon Age, that stops there and it's making me sad to lose a beloved franchise to narcissistic loonies

The swarm will move on soon. 3 Weeks ago they were spamming the SH2 forums and in 2 weeks thye're somwhere else. Some peoples minds are just stuck in cultre war mode.

the irony that i see so many people owning this game, yet are the first to comment to on so many threads. if the game is so damn good, why are they so busy defending it on the forums more than actually playing. if you enjoy the game and dont want to be surrounded by negativity, literally dont go on the forums. its just that simple. but no, its just that you are instead too busy seeking validation in the purchase of this literal pig slop of a game

A lot of them are the same people who brigaded BG3 and Hogwarts and any release they see as "woke." They're toxic trolls not actually interested in the game and will move on as soon as they have a new target.

There are a good number of us just plain disappointed in what we've seen of the game as well though but most of the hate is coming from the usual suspects.

After some hours you take pauses you know, to eat at least, maybe open up the forum looking for ways to improve the frames per second and instead you find uninformed hating all around.
I'm sure you can manage to guess that much on your own next time, put some effort.

Or should they be more ashamed to spread informed truth than you spreading uninformed hate?

This game can be woke and good, but they didn't make good game, Dragon Age Origin, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Inquisition are all "woke" and no one care because they are good. Looking at how they turn the monster into goofy stupid things disappoint me tremendously, then come the dialog, this game have adult rating and yet the character talk like you are a toddler. Oh and the setting is in tevinter and it look like Disneyland...tf

I don't get that opinion from some youtuber, I got that from looking at the game.

I thought this woke stuff isnt in the game, but the more videos I watch the more it's getting irritating. This woke stuff is everywhere. The majority says no, so go away with this stuff or get the rage of what is the norm. YOu dont lecture the majority of what is moral. YOu dont lecture nature of what is binary

They have to stop making games of this kind. Just stop it and make games like in the 90s 2000s. Make Dragon Age dark, gory and sexy as Origins. Or as a dark fantasy game should be. Remember Conan the Barbarian or Beastmaster...that is dark fantasy.

Ehh idk I thought fable was fun and it wasn't necessarily dark. Just don't make cash grabs.
