Sound distortion - I need help

The game sounds are crackling, and I cannot find a solution. The game is unplayable as long as this audio issue goes on.
Anyone else having this issue?

I made it work! I turned on VSync to 1/4, and it fixed itself!

Now I can go play the very first enby character of my dreams <3

I tried playing with frames too. You can try ulrta performance mode scaler that worked for me till now but somtimes it still happens.

I just bought the game and have tried EVERYTHING mentioned in the various videos to solve this sound problem. The sound crackles and the characters seem to speak more slowly than they should. At least in the opening scenes in the bar, the sound was not synced to the video. I am totally frustrated and considering asking Steam for a refund.

Well, this sounds like a hardware issue. Can you test your speakers with another device? Does it only do that with this game?

If some people fixed it with the video settings (uhh, ok) maybe try updating your drivers?

Aleddra, it only happens with this game. As I said, I've tried everything in the various postings for "solutions" to this problem on Youtube and elsewhere. Nothing fixed it. I had the game running while trying various adjustments to the audio and video settings, so I ended up having a "play time" of over 2 hours, so Steam will not give me a refund. My character never even made it down the stairs at the very beginning of the game, so I haven't actually played it at all. Extremely frustrating, and I'm very disappointed with Steam's refusal.

It is frustrating as the CPU usage seems to be quite an issue. Mine fixed itself the best after I upgraded my CPU (though the game requirements did say mine was above the minimum reqs). But before the upgrades I did somehow ease it with going to task manager and making the game not use all of the CPU.
