No DLC planned? Yep, that's a FLOP confirmed

Says alot about the sales when they aren't willing to invest anymore into it.

Please EA, don't send this DA team to *help* with Mass Effect.

The Rolling Stone article the article in the OP is based on is good covering some of the development side. Lot of misunderstanding about how long this particular version of Dragon Age 4 was being made.

Fwiw, the shift over as an almost entire studio now onto UE5 may be the reason behind moving this game to just being maintained. DLC would need to have been planned months back (especially voice acting) so definitely fair to read 'no current plans' as it's very unlikely to happen with the new ME game being made.

So Witcher 3 wasn't a complete game because it had DLC?

Correct and this isn't about whether a game is good or not. DLC is designed to keep revenue streams flowing until a next game, it's not about giving you more game to play, that's the byproduct. When there's a cash shop, or a paid mod system, sometimes they'll give extra content for free but the expectation is you continue to spend money.

CDPR even did a whole presentation where they explained their business model. The really bad thing as of late is they've (companies in general, not so much CDPR) been charging more for these feature/content incomplete games and then keeping that revenue stream going with DLC.

Lmao. Another person that didn't read the article. I am beginning to see a trend.

Didn't state I did, I only stated I don't want this team touching Mass Effect. Why would I need to read an article to state that.

You know, I do expect you guys to use some degree of intelligence if you are going to sit here and be toddler ***** all day. You are smarter than that and can do some research, you LITERALLY have access to the internet in some way, so please stop coming off as dumb dumbs at the very least.
As someone who critics this game based on it's genuine problems in it's design and execution from my stand point, you literally make everyone look like a kicking and screaming toddler.
Stop using BG3 as your clutch and give us something else

no DLC is good though? Why are you willingly ok with the concept of DLC its a scam bro.
Remember buying a game back in the day and it was just the full game? ofc you dont because youre a tourist not a gamer, you just wanna be a drama kid. Maybe try playing video games instead of crying.

Yeah, no other game that didn't have DLC was ever successful. -Stares at BG3-

BG3 had 70k concurrent player count on Thursday, while Veilguard's launch had roughly the same amount. Think about that. A game released 14 months ago matching the launch of Veilguard. How you can spin this fact as a massive success is honestly baffling. Layoffs and studio shut downs are inbound. Mark my words.

70-90K is about an average launch week for a big name game. It's actually impressive for a completely single player game. What's your point? BG3 is definitely an outlier.

There are malicious organizations with billions of dollars that fund a program called ESG, and they provide a money pillow incentive for these companies to purposefully push unnatural and weird ♥♥♥♥ into everything you play and watch. How come no TV shows have just a regular White man and woman couple? How come every commercial is mostly black people? Understand ESG and it makes it all make sense.

And the democrats have a weather machine that started the hurricanes to do election fraud and the earth is hollow and there's an alien civilization living inside it, we know.
So.. let me get this straight. Not only are you a furry but a stupid one at that. Oh bonus, you're american. Now it makes sense.

Carry on.

Witcher 3 base version likely has more content than this game. Releasing an expansion a year later doesn't suddenly make the base game incomplete.

I cant believe after all the news about this game, some people actually bough this game... LOL
Mormaethor Nov 2, 2024 @ 5:31am
Pretty sure there were never DLC planned, or they'd have sold us a season pass including edition as is customary in the industry.
