Character Load in issues
Not sure if everyone is having the same issue or not, but loaded in my game from a save point and my character in the world shows as a default character but in the Character screen in the menu it shows up as the way it was created. Anyone else having that problem?

Unfortunately I have the same problem and I'm not very happy about working on the character for an hour only for it to be gone. I don't find it very funny.

I'm having the same problem, but I did figure out that if I use the mirror the character comes back. Hope it helps.

I also figured this one out later, though it is annoying if this is something you will have to do every time you load in. I appreciate the comment back though.

I didn't eve spend that long on mine and was still not too happy about it, so I can just imagine how irritating it probably was for you. If you haven't found the trick though, best thing I have found thus far is to go to the mirror in the lighthouse act like your going to change your character and not change anything and just finalize it without any changes and it will fix your character. Again though it is a pretty lame thing to do every time but until they fix it its the only work around I have found.

That's funny, I'm having the exact opposite problem, where my character is fine in the world, but shows up as default human (despite being an elf) in the menu

I'm actually having both problems. (my saved character is a female elf) Sometimes with a loaded save, my character in world appears as a default female elf with no hair and I have to reload the save 5 or 6 times to get it to load her properly, using the mirror trick does not work for me. As of today, if a loaded save loads correctly, my character appears to be a default human male with no hair in the character menu, using the mirror trick does not help with this issue either.

Can't say I've had that issue. My wife plays an elf as well, she has had some loading issues as well, I wonder if it's something with the elf files that's messing up.

so my character is also not loading in properly. Like maybe 35 percent of the time my Rook will load in with no hair. Solas. Please stop casting bald on Rook. I'm begging

I have the same issue after the patch. Character is correct in game and cutscenes (female custom elf) but it shows up as a bald human male in the inventory screen. The mirror in Varrics room didn't help restoring the appearance for the inventory.

I fixed the issues by restarting my PC, starting Steam and the game and my inventory screen shows the correct character again.
The game was patched maybe an hour or so ago, guess that was the problem for me.

I have this exact same issue. It's super frustrating and we should not be having to exit and restart game multiple times or reload the same saves so many times to get the correct character models! I miss the days when a game would release with no bugs requiring constant patching. I hope the devs are actually working on a patch for this.

i saw someone on reddit with that porblem he solved it without loading by just take another hat (one where the whole head get covered) and take it off again.
Some mentioned that the change mirror change the appearence back if only use and exit it.
its still bad but atleast no loading savegame each time

Had the same problem! Moved game files to SSD and now this problem is gone!

iv found that opening the steam overlay and leaving it open until the game loads and the camera zooms to in front of your character will often result in the game correctly reloading the character

Can EA fix this already???? I have a character stuck in ugly mode and going to the mirror isn't a solution because i had logged out in the middle of a long active quest. So I either have to stomach my character looking like a-- in ever cut scene or find a save prior to the quest.

I agree with you on this, but sadly EA isn't known for its ability to fix broken games...there is a laundry list of games that they could have fixed but chose not to (Anthem, ME: Andromeda) so all we can do is hope
