Character Glitch

Anyone else having an issue with their character not actually showing up? I just spent 2 hours making my rook and Inquisitor only for the first cut scene to show up and it's the default version of my Rook- not the one I made. Tried reloading and it's the same error. I've no idea how to fix it except maybe waste another 2 hours remaking them and hope it works? But it's already ruined that moment I've waited 10 years for.

Tested stuff out. Experiencing this bug only on Qunari, at random moments. Dosen't happen to other races.

My rook is a dwarf so it's definitely happening to other races.

I'm having the same problem, and my rook is an elf
The weird thing is, is if I go to inventory it my Rook looks like they should but not in gameplay

A have this bug everytime I load or reload the game. You must use the mirror (where Varric is) to customize your character and validate (no need to change anything)

So I tried this and it just showed me as I currently was-the default character. When I tried to go back to my last hard save (something that previously worked), it corrupted my saves. I'm currently uninstalling and trying to restart hoping it helps

This keeps happening to me if I load an autosave. Loading manual saves or checkpoints fixes it. I also had issues in the CC where changes just didn't appear, and afterwards I couldn't change my character, only make a new one.

Managed to fix this! Had to uninstall from my portable harddrive and reinstall on my pc itself. Fixed the issue.

Were you able to recover your save files when you reinstalled it? I am having the same error and I don’t want to redo the past 4 hours of gameplay if I don’t have to 🥲 I might just try and deal with her bald head. Trying to load other save files gives me an error.

I was. Uninstalling and reinstalling completely fixed the issue and it saved all the game play I had done as well. That was also my worry. Fingers crossed it works for you!
