And they will be useless due to there being no requirement to actually own or play the game to leave a review.

metacritics is useless, review bombing, like anyone still believe "users" nowdays.

You mean, like in Steam, I can buy it, return it, and leave a review without playing it? Or simply run it for half an hour to get the playtime? Or perhaps how a game company can issue a ton of free keys to people for a review?
Nah, you can't fake reviews on Steam, it's impossible!

Anyone can put a review there, Owning the game is not required.

I don't really care about your opinion or your feelings on the matter.
It's not really an opinion, it's a fact: User reviews on Metacritic are useless due to anyone being able to leave a review on anything, even things they have never watched/played.

Media outlets are going to have a field day turning this around on us gamers.

You do want to have a review from someone who actually played the game, but ownership requirement is a meaningless formality that doesn't say anything.

More relevant than most other sources that are constantly hiding and deleting anything negavite about the game, which is the majority opinion.

Because nothing is more trustworthy than reviews that aren't required to own or have ever played the game.
johnwick Nov 1, 2024 @ 12:55pm
I trust those more than people who played the game and say it's a return to form and great combat and amazing writing.

Liars.

I mean, if you remove every review that mentions "woke" or "DEI", it has great reviews. People don't even have to own the game to review bomb it on Metacritic. There's nobody on the planet whingier than the "anti-woke" crowd. Like "waaaah I hate 0.5% of the population so much that I'm going to throw a fit about a completely optional feature in a pretty fun game!"

It's cute you still don't realise Bioware Austin is getting closed and this the last DA game you'll ever see.

Steam reviews is by far the best source, not perfect but still.

Exactly. The boring-ass trolls just do predictable troll stuff until the next "woke" game comes around to attack. It's purposely exhausting to push fans into other spaces.

You think they'd have grown out of it because if they put that same effort into joining the games industry, they'd have a title published by now.
