I don't understand in any way how people call this game boring
Typical DA story. Not bad its entertaining enough. Very fun combat. Puzzles that are interesting but not overly complex, Hidden areas. Massive ability trees that give you many ways to build your character and companions, Game looks very good to. I am enjoying it a lot. I expect user reviews to go up into the mid or late 80s.

You forgot a very well done character creator and incredible optimization.

And that's the better part of the gameplay, the writing and dialogue are the weaker part.
thing is you don't own the game and are not playing it....I am. Who is it who knows if the game is fun or not. Whom should people listen to.

Huh, and I don't understand how anyone can actually like this bland and banal nonsense...

I can see boring, especially in the first few hours. There's a lot of longish cutscenes. You're on rails for those first few hours with very little to zero exploration and side quests. Not a ton of combat... I mean it's no shooter.

Todays modern audience wants Call of Dragon Age. Zero attention spans, zero patience. They want into the game, shoot things, move to a lobby, go and shoot more things.

But yeah, the first few hours aren't the most exciting gaming experience ever.

It is failing because it is a disservice to much of dragon age, because shoddy writing and cloned gameplay are not enough. Not for a decade of work, not for a potential culmination of a series. It is trying to find an audience without having anything to offer. They probably could have sold this as something perfectly adequate, had it simply been something else, selling for what it is, a bland fantasy action adventure. Set the price point to half this, make up a different setting, and rake in a few million sales. The problem is the approach, trying to sell it as something it is not. I am starting to think corporations dont know how to make games.
Another non owner. Try to play the game next time.

Don't worry he's going to come in a claim that he refunded it, or that he played it on another platform.

I know at least as much about the game as you do, but anyone can buy it and try it for themselves and see which one of us is right.
Yea person whom never played the game and is just here to troll our hobby. User reviews have gone to or close to 80% at this time. SO good luck with that.

example please. If its poor writing you must have an example of it..

thats it?

Its an adult game written for pre teens. Writing direct from legal. Also 4 hours in the game is on rails, this game is exact opposite of narrative immersive experience. OTOH the game is playing very well for me. Its just I have this feeling that the game dialog is all about telling me how to think and feel about everything in it, instead of allowing me decide how I feel and think about things. Fire the HR department.

increase the difficulty and then come back
enemies are just damage sponges

thats not good gameplay.

I mentioned some in another thread but for example in SkillUps review it felt like the MC was lecturing children on how to get along when talking to party members and Taash's companion quest felt like it would fit better in a teenager coming of age story than it does in a fantasy epic.
Seriously That is not true at all. Thats the best you can come up with.

Thing is I am playing it unlike you..You people can try to bash my opinion all you want. But you cannot get around that.

It's a fine arpg, not a fine DA. I really don't like how DA lean more towards the hack&slash combat system, and the story is getting more boring ever since origin. I also hate the dialog disc, all these choices hardly matter and sometimes what i choose isn't what i want to say
