How unequip stuff?

I put a wrong helmet on and havent a helmet for my mage to equip.

So how can i unequip the helmet? NOT HIDE!

What exactly is the problem? The PC is the only character than equip helmets, so if you have more than one, just select the helmet in the character screen and choose the one you want stat wise. If you don't like the look of it, you can either hide it, or use the wardrobe to change the look.

Reading comprehension. The OP doesn't have a helmet that fits the character class and wants to unequip this one. So the OP wants to have no helmet on and apparently, that's not possible once you equip a helmet...or at least there's no clear option to remove it.

you can hide the helmet. if you click on the orange icon next to the helmet on the character page, you can sort it to different options, like removing during dialogue or hiding all together. not a fix for fully un-equipping it but best it seems the game can offer so far

Ended up just buying a light helm in the shop at wharf crossing south, minrathous. Nothing special but I assume it’s for the “light armor” requirement in one of the skill tree unlocks?

Yes, needed to buy a new one at a merchant or wait for a light helm drop.

Cannot unterstand why its not possible to unequip it, but i found a solution :D

It's weird you cannot remove a helmet, but I don't believe it would matter for the perks such as light armor master. I believe those state you have to have a light armor AND helmet. So removing the helmet wouldn't be enough to activate them.

Yup, this is what I ended doing as well.
