input lag with controller?

Im playing this game with a wireless Xbox S controller. In every other game i dont have any problems with it. In this game it somehow repsonds very ... late ?

Explanation : turning the camera and its, like it "sways" a litte longer, when im in the game settings menu's , i need to press the buttons very hard before a setting changes or responds. I checked the gamepad settings and changed in smaller steps to see if something changes but still it feels the same.

Im not sure if this is input lag or something but im curious if im the only one ?

agreed. There is legitimate concerns regarding cpu temps, controller issues, etc. and its damn nearly impossible to find without specifically searching. With all that being said, I am having an absolutely killer time so far. GLHF and lets hope this controller "bug" gets sorted.

Yeah I haven't made it past the character creation screen but there's lag with the controller inputs.

You are not crazy I instantly noticed it from the moment I launched the game and got into the menus. It's terrible. I don't really notice or feel any input lag in game but I 100% experience it every time I'm in a menu.

The funny thing is, normal people playing on m&k as intended, as has always been the way with DA games, it feels like it should be on controller. The only bad thing I have to say about the game, oh and the lack of it being open world.

I tried two controllers. Bluetooth and USB cable. I get extreme lags that are also very irregular. Anyone found a fix?

Installed new nvidia driver and rebuild the shader, for now its smooth again.

i am also experiencing this issue. the lag is so severe that combat is nearly impossible.

i am playing on the steam deck. i really hope there's a fix soon.

same issue here using ps4 controller character moves to much on slight touches then doesn't move at all when i press stick forwards hard sometimes, character also walks a lot when he should be jogging like I'm not pressing stick hard enough when clearly i am, i only get smooth input when I'm actually running in game. Definitely Controller lag

make absolutely sure to deactivate triple buffering. this causes additional input delay.

my issue was solved turns out ps4 controllers are renowned for having 'drift' issues, controller was less then 1 year old i bought a new one and tried it, game runs fine my character stopped running off on his own. so far so good

Thought it was in my head. Elite controller with delay issues.
