Race doens't affect your stats, it affects your visual appearance (inluding hieght for example) and how some NPCs react to you during dialogues.
What affect some stats is the background/faction you choose and of course the class.
Dwarf 2 str 2 sec
Elf 2 dex 2 magic
Human +1 everything
So yes this game is racist.
All RPGs have had some form of this
The D&D are all their own kindred.
What solas was talking about is that humans becomes immortal men who then becomes the darkspawn.
Elves loses their immortality as dragon age is the age of man.
Art style is racist as it's built on a stereotype of copying east art design of making elves into chinese people.
Then selling this in the western world. So that you can hate the elves and call them knife ears
In dragon age origins all the races got stat bonus?
I think they got some unique feats but stats wise a Half-orc and a gnome warrior are equal strength
