Does race matter?
Is it like baldurs gate 1+2 where race gives you a bonus

Or like baldurs gate 3 where all races are the same?

Wrong think detected. White dude for Harris kill squads are on the way to your home. Do not resist

Race doens't affect your stats, it affects your visual appearance (inluding hieght for example) and how some NPCs react to you during dialogues.

What affect some stats is the background/faction you choose and of course the class.

Origins for races do matter to an extent, nothing special. Other than that, the only race-unique thing is dwarves not being able to mages. You also get dialogue-specific options for race and origins.

There are stats, but not the dnd type. It's not a dnd game. if you prefer that type of stat buidling, go for crpgs like Wrath of the Righteous for example. Hope that helped.

Tiefling 50% fire (the most common elemental damage type in BG3) resist would like a word about that.

All RPGs have had some form of this

D&D and this is not the same thing.

The D&D are all their own kindred.

What solas was talking about is that humans becomes immortal men who then becomes the darkspawn.

Elves loses their immortality as dragon age is the age of man.

Art style is racist as it's built on a stereotype of copying east art design of making elves into chinese people.

Then selling this in the western world. So that you can hate the elves and call them knife ears

I think they got some unique feats but stats wise a Half-orc and a gnome warrior are equal strength
