73% Rating?
How is this game 73% positive? When I scroll through reviews it is overwhelmingly negative reviews that I see. I scrolled through close to 1000 reviews and for every 10-20 negative reviews, I would see 1 positive.

The game is at 79% positive, people who are actually trying the game are enjoying it.

Because when you go to the review section, the default dropdown is "Most Helpfui" which are still influenced by users saying their review was helpful. (People are making the negative reviews the most helpful by going through each one and thumbs up_)

If you want to see a better reflection, change the dropdown to Recent.

Idiots are review bombing this. Wait a few days and those reviews will drop.

The intriguing thing about those positive reviews is that they read like negative ones.
If you pay attention to them, they all seem to be some variation of a general sentiment in the vein of "I enjoy it, but its deeply flawed", which is not the most heartening thing to see from a franchise as established as Dragon Age. I believe that many people purchased the game out of a morbid curiosity only to be met with what is, overall, a middling experience that they just barely enjoyed.

Space Marine 2 is a solid game but it has its issues, there are better within in genre.
Is my review of that, I still give it a positive, I don't understand your concerns about reviews like this.

Strange. I see the opposite. Perhaps some kind of filter?

most of the reviews I see are positive when scrolling through. most of the helpful ones are also positive. people have given them lots of clowns, though.

It is positive? Then this fun drama show is over i guess.

When Suicide Squad released, it had ~85% positive reviews for quite some time, probably because most people who didn't like what they saw and heard about it also didn't buy it and review it.
Starfield had a similar positive initial reception until people put some hours into it and the cracks started to show.

I think this will go down to ~60% in a couple of weeks.

Valve's new fake positivity policy. If you buy the game, review it and then refund it, your review will stay there but it will no longer be calculated for the overall review score. The score is more important than the review itself.

Basically shadow banning you from reviewing said game.

Many users with positive reviews have set it to private, and you can see that their level is 0. In other games, the proportion of users with such positive reviews will be much lower.

because people who don't like the game has already been filtered in purchasing stage by not buying the game. Most people who like it knew they will like it even before they play the game.

Here's the thing. Positive rating isn't enough. As a lot of people who dislike the game. Just straight up wont buy or waste their time with it. What you want to look for are top Peak players. How fast it drops off, and find a rough estimate of how many copies sold. For instance-

Dustborn Has/Had a high rating. It also had a peak count of what, 60-70 players and lost Millions?
Concord had a High rating. 2 months later the studio is shut down.
Suicide Squad: KTJL Is Positive. yet branded the most god awful Live Service game ever.

A high Review will make DA:Veilguard look better for those not 'in the loop' as a game worth picking up. But it wont make a company money.

Which imo is fair. It stops the score being manipulated by people that just buy the game to put in a negative review and refund by manipulating Steams refund policy whilst still showing the reviews so people can check for ones where they refunded cause of technical problems.

Guarantee this "Very Positive" review is a combination of being bought, bots, and/or people working at EA and it's partners.
