Better than The Witcher 3
Some review sites give this game a higher score than The Witcher 3. I read some of them, I watched the SkillUp review and watched a lot of gameplay videos. World looks good and combat seems fun if you like action focused one, but I have to agree that world building, level design, facial animations and writing are not very good. So even if it’s an ok game how can this be better than The Witcher 3? Seems odd.

Reviews will always be subjective. If, after hearing someone out as to how this game stacks up to another game you enjoyed, you disagree or feel you need to seek additional opinions, do.

Ultimately, you may never know how you feel about this game until or unless you buy it. If you greatly enjoyed The Witcher 3 and earlier games in the Dragon Age franchise, I, personally, worry you'll regret shelling out the dubloons, but you may surprise yourself.

This is the biggest joke I read in a few years.
Witcher is a better game in EVERY departmen, even graphics and artstyle.

Dialogues are like comparing reading Dostoevsky vs elementary kid essay.

This isn't even close greedfall level :D

I asked a refund.
Played one hour and the game design, graphics are set for a very young audience. Not for DA fans, i have all opus and this one is a total waste,

If it's the same person who reviewed both, ask them? Otherwise it's not so strange for peoples' preferences to differ, and for it to get very weird when they're effectively working within a range of 3 points at the top end to say 'this is a good game I like a lot'. I think people also forget that TW3 as it is seen now is not TW3 as it was seen at launch. (insert roach on a roof gif here)

Personally, I think TW3 is better than this game in every way but combat, but I think Greedfall was a much worse game for taking the decision Veilguard smartly (*cough* budget) opted out of chasing - trying to follow in TW3's wake by making a big open world but, unlike TW3, not being able to find compelling reasons to use it.

That’s true that if different people reviewed the games that personal taste is involved, but shouldn’t a review site also have an objective approach to different game elements. Usually they even split up the score in different categories like gameplay, story, graphics and with the evident lack of quality in some of these I fail to understand how this can score better than W3 despite a personal taste flavored in an overall objective review.

It will have guidelines (like some outlets will ask for 10s not to be given too freely, others won't care) but the idea that there's some objective tickbox list falls apart the first time you try to compile one. It's all subjective even if you break down to broad categories. Take art - is the art in this game better than the art in, silly example, Vagrant Story? I think you may be looking for a mathematical formula for inherently subjective responses to creative works.

To be fair both the games are overrated.

Yes I greatly enjoyed W3 and DA:O that’s why my impression is that this game is not for me. Mostly the art style of the characters and the bad writing puts me off. If they would have been good I could have accepted the combat system I guess.

I don’t get the appeal of the Souls games, but can accept this is because of my personal taste. The wide acclaim and success of From Softwares series nevertheless shows it must have qualities that just may be not my cup of tea. I think the same is true for Witcher 3. Also some people don’t like BG3 (and they don’t have too) but you can hardly say it’s overrated.
