Loading Error
I’ve literally tried ever solution I can think of and nothing is working.

Every time I boot up the game, (I got to play a little bit briefly) and click continue it just loads and eventually says there was a loading error and takes me back to the main menu. The actual game will run in the background but the error prevents me from doing anything

I’ve verified the game files, checked and made sure all my drivers are updated, even tried reloading a previous save, forced closed the game with task manger, restarted my pc and NOTHING. I still keep getting this error.

I really don’t know what else to do besides uninstalling and reinstalling but I really don’t want to have to do that only to end up with this error again.

All my settings in game are set to low performance too so that couldn’t be apart of it. It was working just fine until I stopped playing for a few hours

I and a lot of others are getting it too, one of my really old saves worked but I lost a ♥♥♥♥ ton of progress

I’m extremely glad to know I’m not the only one going through this, I’m hoping it’s a bug they will fix soon, I caved and unstinted and am now reinstalling it so hopefully that will do something too.

If not guess I’m gonna have to start cycling through my saves

Here's a discussion on the EA forums just in case they find a solution first.

Jeez, it happened to me in the ritual part, i wanted to load to see other option, went to ♥♥♥♥, I couldn't so I had to load an old save... Now I can load a save in the lighthouse but when I go inside the eluvian it puts the same error... Also had a lot of bugs in my character, like it seemed other person in the mirror, then it wasn't... I hope they fix this soon because playing like this is terrible

It also happened to me at the eluvian, but specifically after I would pick up the dread wolf codex. Then it happened again after ai said to prioritize saving dalish settlements and I haven’t figured out how to fix it now
Hey! Had the same error. Some people have tried installing latest drivers, others had to verify files. My solution was to move files from HDD to SDD (chose wrong drive by mistake, whoops). Hope you can get it figured out!

I had the same issue on my PC the last two days, I did some reading and someone suggested ensuring it wasn't downloaded onto any external storage device, which mine was. Once I uninstalled it and reinstalled in the my actual pc versus my external hardrive, it's worked no problem.

You know that might be the case for me, almost all my games are on my external hard drive, i’m gonna have to try that if I get the error again when I boot up

I moved the game over to an internal SSD and everything works now

If you have it on an HDD or SSD then good luck as I have it on my Samsung Nvme with 32gb of ram and a 16gb card and it disk thrashes all the time.

Load your oldest save, then load into your most recent from inside the game, this is the only work around that I have found till they patch this
