crackling audio
might sound redundant since i've seen other people with the same issue but i'm literally getting it all the time, even outside of cutscenes and when i'm standing still. i can't even get past the prologue because of how bad it is. wondering if anyone also have it as bad as me and/or knows a fix

Random guess: reduce sampling frequency of your audio device in windows if it's set really high (like 192KHz -> 96kHz). I don't have this trash game but I remember some F1 game had an issue like that.
That sounds weird, what bitrate is your audio set to? Right click the speaker icon and goto sound settings and go from there. Also check if you have Windows Sonic on, it can perform bad sometimes in games.
I've got the same issue and tried the fixes suggested here and in the EA Forums. Nada. I hope, it's fixable through a patch :/

I had the same issues, but for some weird reason it resolved it self after the 2. cutscene.
putting the system sound to zero also seems to have helped for some reason.

what worked for me: on the sound configuration menu, put system sound to zero. It helped me with the issue.
I had to make sure my drivers were all updated, I turned off all spatial sound/sound enhancing features both in the game and in the control panel/system audio manager. The problem is *mostly* fixed, if it starts crackling really badly again closing and restarting seems to work.

TYSMM for this. It doesn't completely fix the issue for me but it calmed the static by 90%. Definitely not as unbearable as before

Could you explain how you got to the sound configuration menu? Is that in game or a Windows setting? Feel like I've tried everything at this point.

it's a windows setting, i basically dug around my computer's sound setting and found it under "app volume and device preferences"

Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it. Sadly it didn't work for me so I'll have to keep looking, of wait for a patch.

In general, what I did was turn off system sounds via the volume mixer in Windows and set vsync 1/2 in the game. For some time now, I haven’t heard any crackling in the sound. Maybe it will help someone else too.
I have no idea why this worked, but I opened and ran LatencyMon, which is a tool for diagnosing (not fixing!) audio issues like this, and the cracking stopped. The game seems a little more laggy than it was before, but I don’t even care.

I’ve not tested what happens when I stop LatencyMon because I don’t want to interrupt the magic.

Following other tips here, I also have system sounds muted and Vsync set to 1/2. So it could be a combination of things.

I refunded so cant test, there is nothing in the patch notes about addressing the sound issue but can anyone that had the issue see if somehow one of the other fixes fixed this as well (without any of the other "fixes" listed here implemented)
I downloaded the new patch and I can confirm it did not fix my audio issues.
Started for me suddenly in the middle of the game.
