Lag Simulator?
I havent played this but i have seen some people saying that it has really really bad stuttering. I just want to know if this is what most people are experiencing or if it is just people trying to hate on the game because it is woke.

so maybe do you remember which one file was the cause? probably it will for me as well, same trouble

Default setting are horrid for me . Maybe tweaking for hours will fix it but like the default loadout should be fine no game should require a phd in game settings to not lag

its strange because for me the stutter its unbearable and i guess its because i m trying to run on a HD not SSD , but monster hunter the new one its also lagging a bit on the main base maybe its my ryzen 5 not tanking it 3 gen

It runs flawlessly in max settings in 1440 for me on a 5900x with M2 and 4070 Super. I had one issue where I got stuttering in cut scenes but I turned off the NVIDIA Boost setting and that solved it.

Despite being somewhat disappointed with the game overall, the technical execution has been excellent in my experience.

Windows 11

- Open the game installation folder
- Right-click on the executable file 'Dragon Age The Veilguard.exe'
- Choose the Compatibility tab
- Choose the following options from Settings
- Disable full-screen optimizations
- Click on the 'Change high DPI settings' button
- In 'Program DPI' choose 'Use this setting to fix scaling problems...'
- Save all these new settings

I hope it helps; it worked miracles for me

You are a hero! This finally solved the lag problems on my computer! Thank you!

My lag was also unbearable until i reinstalled. The issue was i could not start the game without crashing. I went online and found a post saying to delete the shader cache folder and things would be ok. It DID fix the crash, but the lag was crazy. I had assumed it would simply recreate the shaader cache folder. It did not. I then uninstalled, and reinstalled which recreated the shader cache. Now everything is buttery smooth.

I'm running it on a 4090 with an i9 13900k and 64gb ddr5 ram and it stutters horribly

I haven't noticed any stuttering. It is incredibly demanding at max settings though. However DLSS3 and frame generation make the game essentially run flawlessly all the way through. It just depends on your hardware, as has always been the case.

Not hardware related...
As you can see from the user above you.
My analysis to that issue here

MASSIVE lag AND static sound like you wouldn't believe!! TOTALLY unplayable game.

I don't think I experienced any kind of lag or stuttering at all. The only time I even think I noticed a bug was one case where a cinematic froze during fade-out; I had to terminate the game, but when I restarted, the same cinematic played and ended just fine.
