So now the Elf gods created the blight? Or were already blighted? i'm so confused by what they did to this story....

The blight being divine punishment for the hubris of mages believing to be equal to God himself. Only for those same mages to corrupt the sleeping Elven gods and blight the world.

This was a good story it made sense from a medieval RPG setting.

I don't recall him saying the elves created the blight, only that the elven gods were blighted and he made it seem like they think they were gods but maybe aren't? Were they elven rulers who WANTED to be gods?
