not optimized for AMD?
taking nearly an hour to load shaders and that's the first thing in the game. Then I finally got out of that to find a 13 FPS on the start screen. I could literally see each frame practically. My rig is plenty powerful enough. This is disappointing. may come back in a few weeks after they figure their bugs out.

It's not optimised for 99% of the population either..

From digital foundry to many reviews, it's really weird how the game is promoted...
I'm actually playing it, not bad but from sometimes stutter or fps roller coaster ( got a 3080, playing 1440p) game is not even beautiful ( blurry ). It's weird

Disable bloom in the game's config file. It makes everything blurry

It's not optimized for much at all really, shaders seem to take awhile for everyone on any config the first time through.

For me the issue is directX crashes. Reviewers must've all been on console cause this is far from polished.

Bad performance, bad writing, bad gameplay, 2/10 Dragon Age poop guard.

Im playing at 4K, Frame Gen on, DLSS set to DLAA and getting a solid 100-120fps with no lag. Seems optimized to me.

Delete the shader folder, Verify game files and then restart your system. Try the game again. If you still have issues then you might have mismatched memory modules or they could be in the wrong slots. Worth checking anyway.

I have a 64gb of memory so maybe that helps. My video card is an older NVIDIA 2080 super so nothing special or recent and the game works fine on Ultra settings

Ryzen 7800X3D and 4090...absolutely ZERO issues. I was actually suprised due to reading these forums before purchasing. With that being said, im sure there is plenty of "performance" related issues. Temps on CPU are somewhat high on my end. Thats about the only issue I have. Controller's seem to have some input lag. Im loving my time with it so far though!

I'm running:
Ryzen 5 5600x
RX 7800 XT 16GB
32 GB system RAM

And I get horrible performance. Game only cracks 100 fps in less intense areas like Solas' lighthouse.

In outdoor areas during fights, FPS tanks to 60-70, and towns like Treviso and Minrathous tanks my FPS from 35-50. During all of that, there's a few microstutters.

I tried the CPU priority fix from Nexus:
https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonagetheveilguard/mods/1?tab=posts&BH=3

With this fix, it's as if the stutters come in major episodes. There would be long stretches of beautifully smooth performance, and then suddenly my FPS tanks all the way down to 13, and slowly work itself back up to normal. Very weird.

I'm running Win 11, Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 32GB RAM, & Radeon 9700 xtx. No real problems. The shader building at the first only took me about 1 min approximately. However, my cpu was hitting the thermal threshold constantly even though I'm undervolting with PBO2 Tuner. So I just lowered the in-game fps to 60 max and that solved the thermal issue. So, I'd say that this game needs just a little "optimizing" since this is the only game that makes my CPU stay maxed out even though I have it manually undervolted. Odd???
