I get the hate

Long time fan, watched everything regarding this game and the hate is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ warranted. I stopped before 2 hours so I can debate a refund. The art style is complete ass compared to old DA games to the point it feels like a parody of DA games using the art style of the old fable games where everything was plastic/short/ and pudgy, combat is just laughable but maybe it gets better with more abilities, and it takes FAR too much work to try and not make your character look like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ twink. Listen if you wanna play a twink, cool, but the fact I literally COULDNT make an elf without him looking like a femboy is insane (maybe I couldve EVENTUALLY but knowing you have to make 2 damn characters + the time for shaders to be optimized made the game feel like I was gonna spend 1.5 hours not even on the game and I wanted to option of a refund if I didnt like it, ♥♥♥♥ happens when you pay for good reviews).

The dialogue shows some promise, albeit the bar was pretty low. The facial animations are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrid, felt like they brought in the Andromeda facial animators. Yes, I'm gonna say it and all the weird ♥♥♥♥♥ will immediately disregard everything to this point and just call me the copy pasta ♥♥♥♥ they all are, the top scars are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird/ stupid/ and shouldnt be in the game and if you are telling people they cant be upset about that because its a single player game then you cant be mad when people remove pride flags from spiderman.

I'm gonna sit on the game for a day or so, I have games to play that are just objectively better in my backlog like Persona 3, 5, and metaphor but I really just wanna play a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DA game again and love it and have just a shred of my childhood again but this feels like its DA in name alone, kinda how Bioware is just Bioware in name alone.

Also, the people commenting "the DA series was always 'by queers for queers", you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots. It was a game made for fans of RPGs that had gay relationships in them, everyone is so damn needy and entitled yall have to act like something was made FOR YOU by your "community". They were made by gamers for gamers, thats it.

I gave valid criticism, let the unhinged ass hate flow I guess.

Yea, pride demons are butchered as well quite badly. No enemy actually looks intimidating in this game. And you have to try to actually die in combat.

They also ALWAYS have us do some awesome finisher to the ogre or pride demon in the opening sequence to make us feel powerful and awesome, none of that here, just knocking over a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scaffolding.

Subjectively, I dont think you can really debate much of what I said because I pride myself in making objective points instead of subjective ones. This post was made 20 minutes after release? Did you have an advanced copy? I’m just curious because I was in the character creator for 40 minutes alone. I’ve played for 28 hours so far and have barely scratched the surface.

I guess people forget that advanced copies ARE sent out and when release date DOES come about everyone drops 7-21hours worth of content that people sift through, just as well one isn't required to sit through 60 hours of garbage to state a fact.
