CPU temp
Is anyone else having their cpu staying in the high 70s to 80s? I’m on a 5800x3d

Yep
70-80 is perfectly fine and normal with High CPU usage. Go read up about the thermal limits for your CPU, this isn't close.
Just making sure, most of the games I run hover around 72 but this is the first one that stays in the 80s lol
If you aren't at TJ Maxx (The discount clothing store) you are fine, I'd ignore it.
If you have issues with temps, the problem is cooling not any game.
I'm experiencing this issue as well, this unfortunately happens way more often than I would like with new releases. They'll probably release a patch within the week addressing the issue.
Go into your power settings, processor state and take the max down from 100% to 90-95%. Limit FPS to your display hz.
Same here. 80 Celsius. But that is okay.
78 celsius in a 7800x3d
Gpu is high also
80C is normal for a modern CPU at full load. My CPU hovers between 85 and 90 when (non-gaming) rendering.
mine hovers 85-89 idk if thats bad or not
Yea this game runs pretty hot, CPU temps at 85 If I don't limit the frames, dropped to 75 when limiting to 60 frames, shot back up to 80 when in the game. Changing anything else that impacts CPU doesn't seem to make any difference in temps. I run a ryzen 7 3800x CPU most games my CPU sits at 68. The only other that that ran hot was Spacemarines 2 when it first came out but then they optmized it and now it runs at 68 same as all games. My GPU is fine at like 55 (i run a nvidia 3060).

It could be that this game could be poorly optimized and will need some updates to hopefully solve the high thermals it is facing. And yes games can affect thermals because if you are consistent temps with pretty much all your games and then get a new game that goes waaaayyy above average it is most likely the game if it was on your end it would effect all of your games not just one. Hope they fix the CPU thermal issue.
Yeah, same thing here. I have to cap the FPS to 60 to keep it in the 60-70 range, otherwise I regularly spike up to the 90s. I had similar issues with Space Marine 2 and they did address this in their first patch.

Game still looks killer, though

X3Ds automatically are set to overclock via the BIOS, so you will hit crazy temps if you don't have adequate cooling, 7800X3Ds are notorious for this, 4.2GHz base clock speeds is fine, but when it hits 5GHz+ temps rise to 80-90C.

Get Ryzen Master or another app, and purposely keep the CPUs to base clock speeds if you have trouble with temps. Base clock speeds will probably see a temp of around 60C with DA:V if you have decent cooling, even air cooling.|

EDIT: Or if you are confident set it to not overclock in the BIOS.

CPU is bottlenecked, as it should be. Gets hot. That's how CPUs work.

Not in the 90s? Nothing to be concerned about. It's throttling when it needs to cool down.
