Keybinding issue
The game will not allow me to remap movement keys to my arrow keys. I'm left handed and I can't play the game otherwise! How in the hell is this simple need overlooked?!

I fixed the problem with the camera shaking when using the up arrow button thanks to another post here. With the program autohotkey v1 you can create a file that turns wasd into arrow and arrow into wasd. So you press the up arrow key but the game recognizes W and doesn't shake the camera. You can then even switch the whole thing on and off with a key you specify (in my case Ctrl+z). If you are interested, I can post the instructions for the script here.
How to use this program?
Until they fix this problem I am forced to use the num pad keys. It's not ideal but better than wasd or god forbid a controller

The entire game is an issue.

I use autohotkey with this script for games like this:

"#Requires AutoHotkey v2.0

Up::W
Left::A
Down::S
Right::D
"

But its IS increasingly common that new games just skips letting the whole keyboard be rebindable like this for us that needs it, and that's very bleh!

(The script makes arrow keys do the same thing as wasd)

Unfortunately, I'm hearing reports that various workarounds tends to cause VFX disturbances like a wobbly camera, etc. That's a no-go for people who suffer from vertigo/nausea. At this point, Bioware/EA need to let people know whether or not they intend to correct this so people are able to make a decision about whether to request a refund.

im having that as well, find a fix?
Okay so I had the same issue as yall and just fixed it. I had a razer tartarus plugged in, unplugging it fixed my RMB and space bindings. When I unplugged, it said controller disconnected, so I bet this game is not optimized for peripherals. If you dont have a tartarus I would get to a combat spot in the game, pause, and then one by one unplug/disconnect and extra peripherals you have.

Or...and bare with me on this one...given that I have never had this issue before...maybe the programmers could try actually being competent and making it so this isnt an issue.

Seems to me it cant be to hard to fix it so u can rebind to arrows.
Come on devs, give us some love.

Having an autohotkey script loaded doesn't affect the game in any way. I'm using one to rebind TAB, T, G and H.

find controller dead zones in gamepad settings and place all of them to max (0.90)
u're welcome

I'm doing something similar now so I can at least play the game. I made a new profile in the Razer Synapse app for just the Veilguard. In that profile, I mapped the arrow keys to wsad. Also mapped a key I don't otherwise use for anything, Scroll Lock (SCR LK), to switch between the Veilguard profile and my normal profile. So, at least there's several workarounds in play right now while we wait for Bioware to patch this.

The last comment to all "keybind" problems on the official Bug/Tec Issue forum from EA/BW is:

Hey folks,

We appreciate you giving us this feedback, we'll get it passed on to the team.

That was 5h ago.
Best way for now is to remap to numpads.Thats what I did.
Also camera shaking because its not free.Its a console thing.

If you have Razer Synapse you can create a profile for your keyboard that remaps wasd to the arrow keys and is only applied when the game is running by linking the game to that profile.
