Does shader compiling normally take this long?
I'm only at 15% in compiling the shaders for the past 30 minutes. I've never had it take this long?

I feel like if games are gonna start doing this, Steam is gonna need to increase the minimum hours for the refund policy. Just a shot in the dark if this game is gonna run well or not right now, especially considering how in-depth the character creator is. No shot I'm gonna even be under two hours by the time the shaders compile and I finish making my character.

This is crazy lol. Ten minutes on the first compile and like 5 on every time I start the game? Id rather just have normal loading screens if thats the case.

Verifying shaders every time I restart. Super annoying and unnecessary

DF says yes, but theres no shader stutter afterwards

So pick your poison, either a long first time shader compilation or shader compilation stutter afterwards

Took about 10-14 ish minutes, so no that does not sound normal.

It took me ages first time on my 4060ti, then after about 9hrs in, the game crashed and im stuck waiting for it to compile the shaders again. Also just downloaded the latest driver for my GPU as it says it will optimise the game but it says it cant optimise the game. Confused.

Just seen the post about the GPU driver update causing it to be done again from scratch. Hopefully i can optimise once its finished.

It really isn't the game doesn't look that great. Cyberpunk is a better looking game and there wasn't an hour of shader compiling when you first played.

you are lying. the game looks great.

if any1 is worried about the refund timer running refund it now and get the game on EA shop they have 2 week refund policy with play as much as you want and you can still refund it
If you like me deleded the shader_cache and the game runs like absolute ass. Just restore the shader_cache from the bin and let the game verify and install the shaders as it was supposed to. Game runs flawless after that.
