Bioware dying is a good thing
think about it ... if bioware goes bankrupt then the original devs could pick back up mass effect and dragon age again thus making video games great again.

rather since after ME3, with some ending polish it was a decent closing chapter of a great space opera.

I don't think they will die completely, they will be treated like the formally known 343 industries, while even though they keep making terrible games, they are still there. i think the name brand and IP associated with it is just too valuable to let go, both in charge of these companies is just hoping that one day, they will actually make something good.

it' just won't be any time soon.

Companies are names. People make things at companies. Bioware's original development team moved on long ago.

Hopefully they will stop and change before they completely destroy their ips and legacy like westwood - i really miss Command and conquer ...

I also think it was a good thing that DA and ME were rather different games.

how many times do you think a company can lose 300 million? i doubt they even have 300 million, looks like a studio loan.

ÍP is their property, they can mismanage, mishandle and misinterpret it whatever way they like. Probability of future DA success after this one is low, probability of ME being a success if their current last chance for redemption turns out to be on same level as Veilguard is also extremely low.

Why would EA sell Mass Effect and Dragon Age IP when they can just hoard it?

If the company is making up the money elsewhere, they can let dead weight hang on. EA for example has their annual, cash grab copy pasted sports titles that suckers keep falling for and filling their pockets, so they can let this game slide when it fails.

same with "halo studios" MS isn't exactly hurting on money and makes tons of it elsewhere, so they keep letting that dead weight studio hang on, and even double down on letting untalented people keep making the games because the failings won't hurt them too bad financially.

However, there are cases like sony, where they just can't afford to keep losing large chunks of money like that by letting a terrible studio make more games, like firewalk.

Its like this the more woke games fail the more bigger message gets sent to AAA devs to stop putting this slop into games if you wanna make money. Do I want bioware to close? no, but I mean since the AAA devs keep refusing to get the message were going to need to send a bigger one and sadly Bioware going under might just be the message that gets sent. Normal gamers the 99.5% of them just want good games, we don't want woke slop inserted into games nor do games need it. If you don't cater to the majority and your product cost 300 mil to make, and its woke, your kinda screwed as most of that 99.5% aren't going to buy it. Its just how the market is, you either roll with the market or try to go against it and go under.
But here's a question for you. Do you think they will learn what is in your opinion the right message? Or will the companies take a lazy wrong answer instead?

You can’t replicate lightning in a bottle. The game was a product of the times and the people who made it. Even if you rehire everyone who worked on the game somehow there’s no guarantee you’ll get what you expect.

All the good writers left and now we have writers who can only write well about anything non-traditional sexual relationships and sexual identity.

But they entirely forgot to write a script with actual character development and personality.

The narrative is leaning towards activism, while the story and character development itself hurts because of it. These writers are just not as talented as the original BioWare writers were, of that I am quite sure.

The story is bland, the conversations are bland, and makes you feel like your character could get kicked from the war room if you were to said anything that could even be slightly interpreted as offensive in a different universe. As if HR is breathing down your neck.

Bland ass game with bland generic MMORPG-like combat.

Graphics are cool tho.

Exactly. People change.
