You're not totally wrong in that everyone should form their own opinions when the game comes out. Still however it does give you some sense as to the general feeling of the title.

I believe a few I know I can trust and I can see myself on stream but after that woke dialogue above I think I know enough to not touch it with 10m pole ... Heard game is bad, but even if its the best but woke is 0/10 for me.

As someone who has been in many IGN videos, I can safely say I will trust their review.
And I've already bought the Veilguard, but I'll keep supporting IGN and respect them a lot.
