Companion Simulator & Poor Sales
Feels like I am spending more time pleasing my companions than actually saving the world. Like.. There is CRAP GOIN DOWN, but ... oh no... let's stop and get Lucanis coffee. I have to say this touchy feel good be nice all the time game is so incredibly cringy it's getting real hard to get through the entirety of the game and i'm like 40-50 hours in (I forgot to look)

Guess that's why people online are getting lower and lower and lower by the day. Still capped at 89,418 too which is atrociously low. Taash's entire development story is just extremely difficult to even watch, thank god for the Skip button.

I can only hope that Bioware will realize that this is not what the majority of the gaming population wants. What a sad title... I'm looking forward to just being done with the game tbh...

There is a limit to how much you can do at any given time, as you don't know where the gods are/are not prepared etc.

However, I feel there are too many companion quests that are simply uninteresting, clicking on things for them.

I honestly wish there were more events like having coffee with Lucanis. Sure, the tasks during those events are busy work, but it gives you a chance to just hang out with them and see your companions in a more natural setting. I like getting to know what they're like outside of all the craziness. I get that that's not what everyone is here for, but it worked for me.

You're complaining about the same things that were true in DA2 and Inquisition by the way. DA2 has a very big focus on companions, arguably a much bigger one as the story is actually caused by companions all the time and Hawke feels like a secondary character when you really think about it.
In Inquisition it's less central than in Veilguard because Inquisition is filled with meaningless content but it's more an illusion than anything else. You can still do random quests for them when the world is about to end.

Stop complaining about things in this game as if they were brand new "issues" when they have been true ever since the first game (granted on this specific case DAO was actually fairly light on companion quests).

I think the real problem is pacing. It takes way too long to have the entire roster of companions and to unlock all of their content which means that you suddenly are running 8 stories in parallel, the main story and the 7 companions' which is exhausting.
But the content itself isn't really the issue imo, I find one companion's ending to be super underwhelming but otherwise they are much more interesting than any companion sidequests were in any Dragon Age game, period. Just compare freaking Wynn in DAO to Emmrich, or Meredith to Bellara. It's night and day the amount of development they get and how much you learn about them and become closer to them.

Being your crew's therapist was the thing that got Mass Effect 2 catapulted to being one of the most beloved games of the past 20 years. If anything, I want more time to bond with the crew. Especially since this is the best group of companions in a Dragon Age game since Origins.

getting to know my companions more i like, but i like to know how they realy are, not shallow conversations. Like cullen & Dorian playing a game, but talk about real things like his family & real feeling of flirting and some laughs.

Lucanis, i talked with him 3 times about coffee...coffee!? Come on, i like to know more then what & how he likes his drinks. Even Iron Bull and his drink with the Inquisitor at the bar was more full filling then the conversations with Veilguard companions. I am sorry, but i got a hard time olaying this game only because the companions. Soft feel good kind with absolute no soul of companions.

The game is so beautifull, but in the end i don't care the asteatics but more the depth of a story and companions were i feel that i rpg my character how i like to see.

Who says that I didn't feel like it was a problem in DA2? See.. that's the problem... when someone has legitimate complaints about a game, the response is... oh well THIS had it too. Who gives a ♥♥♥♥? Fluff content is fluff content. These quests are WAY too many in between campaign quests and on top of that it is gated... meaning I HAVE to do them in order to progress through the main story. It gets old, and gets old real quick. Just because it's how something has always been done, doesn't make it right. If we don't provide our feedback, then we don't ever see change. This is not a good way to introduce content.

You can't have... OMG, DRAGONS ARE ATTACKING CAPITAL CITIES, but before we get into that, let's go get coffee or train a griffon how play fetch. Ok? It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. Having story development with companions is vitally important (don't get me wrong) Mass Effect also did this, but it didn't feel cumbersome or forced. NOR was there a HUGE focus on it aside from optional content. Nevermind that there wasn't ALOT of said content to complete. You got one or two loyalty quests, and it wasn't in the middle of a crisis happening.

There's also a reason why I never finished Inquisition! I've tried four times and I plan on trying a fifth.

Now don't misunderstand, I'm not grumpy I get to spend time with my companions, but the dialogue is crap, shallow and feels almost unnecessary due to piss poor writing. The issue is the constant oh there's 6 mundane and crappy quests between the good ones.

Yeah more dialogue would be great, and I did enjoy that aspect in Mass Effect and previous Dragon Age games too. Not necessarily.. hey.. let's go to the opposite side of the continent and pick flowers or have dinner with my mother.
