Favorite Game: Dragon Age: Inquisition
Got so many favorite pieces. First when i meet Corypheus in Haven. That music and the first time meeting that Dragon. Always goosbumbs
Favorite Character in Origins: Morigan,Zevran and my mabari
Favorite Character in DA:2: Fenris/Varric and my mabari
Favorite Character in Inquisition: Dorian,Iron Bull,Varric,Cassandra,Solas,Serah...almost all accept Vivien. Still even like her in her own way.
Favorite Character in Veilguard: That would be Emrich
Favorite Class: Mage/Rogue ( inquisition i used mods for mage using with dual weapon)
Favorite Backstory: So stupid this. But the moment that Flemeth comes in as dragon in DA2 and walk towards Hawk and changing into Flemeth, "Well, well... what have we here?" Love Flemeth, love Cate Mulgrews voice
So I'll go for it.
Favourite game: Dragon Age Origins
Favourite moment - at the abandoned structure in the Korcari Wilds and Morrigan's appearance..... "well well well, what have we here...?" mirrored in Flemmeth's intro in DA:2
Favourite Origins characters: Can't choose, I adore all of them, even then minor characters. Special shout out to Heren and Wade. Guess I'll be boring and say Morrigan Alistair and Shale, bur really it's s crap shoot.
Face DA:2 character: Isabella, by a country mile.
Fave DA:I character: Dorean by a mega-supercharged country mile.
Fave DA:V character: Neve.
Fave class:
DA:O - Rogue
DA:2 - Mage
DA: I - Mage
DA:V - Warrior
Fave backstory: Human noble in Origins, closely followed by City Elf.
OMG the, Corepyhius, Coryphenis, coryphyfish...whatever his name is <3 Sera, moment was so amazing. Other than Broodmother, that's probably the only other time I got genuinely spooked in this series. The way they had him enter was just so bad a. Goosebumps indeed!
Lol I still remember seeing Flemeth in DA:2, the way they gagged me with that reveal. I could not believe it, and the glow up! I really want to play DA:2 again, it's been a while since I've played it. But Hawke's family makes me cry so much. :(
I so did not put together that Flemmeth says the same thing that Morrigan said. She and Flemmeth are so much alike and Morrigan didn't even see it. Even though I love Shale, Flemmeth and Morrigan are right up there as my favorite characters.
I feel bad, I don't even recall who Heren and Wade are lol. v.v
Origins: The Flemmeth fight, IYKYK
DA:2: The Ancient Rock Wraith ( probably more of my favorite, I only like the Flemmeth one because of the story and how it takes us on a full ride all the way to this game. Did I mention that I love Flemmeth and Morrigan? ;p)
Fave Moment; When you ask Sara what the Elven text means and she calls you an arse
Fave Origins Character; Can't choose between Alistair and Morrigan
Fave DA2 Character; Merril
Fave DAI character; Sara
Fave DAV character; none-dislike them all
Fave Class
DAO-Rogue
DA2-Rogue
DAi-Rogue
DAV- only played Warrior-wont be playing the game again
Fave Back story; Human Noble
Favorite Moment: It's got to be the opening of the battle of Ostagar. Epic moment if there ever was one. You see the different emotions the soldiers are geing through, then the horde approaching from the woods and you know what's about to go down, with your character watching the whole thing from above. Although I'm torn between this and the goodbyes scene before the assault on the Archdemon in Denerim.
By favorite character I assume only companions...
Favorite Character in Origins: Sten
Favorite Character in DA:2: Varric
Favorite Character in Inquisition: Cole
Favorite Character in Veilguard: Didn't play this one. characters don't seem interesting.
Favorite Class:
DA:O-Rogue
DA2-mage
DAi-mage
Favorite Backstory: I also prefer the dwarven noble in Origins, because it was the most tragic.
Favorite Moment: There are several -- but probably the end of the serial killer questline in DA2. Hawke being unable to save anyone in his family even as his supposed "star is rising" really nails the mood of 2 for me. It is just so tragic.
Favorite Character (Origins): Alistair. I just can't help but like the big doof. Morrigan is the runner up. This likely reflects my preferred playthroughs -- Human Female Noble, Human Mage...
Favorite Character in DA2: Aveline. By a country mile. Wish I could drop kick little miss idiot blood mage and "Let's start a slaughter!" Vengeance-boy.
Favorite Character in Inquisition: Honestly... barely remember them. Pass.
Veilguard: N/A -- don't own it.
Favorite Class: Mage across the board. Damage from range is my preferred combat style, preferably through a double blast of Tempest and Blizzard if I can avoid friendly fire.
Lol honestly, I love Sera so much. I don't know why so many people hate her, she had be giggling from the start "Just say what!" "They've got no breeches." lol She is the best and actually really intelligent.
I hated Merril personally lol.
I did like the human noble one too, I played that the most. Mostly so I could marry Allistair. ;p
I actually have never played that DLC, or the Leliana and Awakening one. I did see a streamer play it before this game and the parts I saw for a romanced Morrigan were so sweet. Made me even madder at Solas. lol
Isabella is one of the best things about DA:2. ;p
Cole over Cassandra any day, even though I completely missed him my first few playthroughs because I always save the mages.
Too soon! I'm still not over what happened to my boy Duncan. :( That whole scene was so epic though, I have never seen another scene like ones in Origins. The scenery is so well thought out, the pacing is fantastic, and they know how to pull out a reaction. I wholeheartedly agree.
I like Sten too, I hope we see him in the next game. I wonder if he'll have horns o,o.
Varric <3
Oh no, again, too soon. That scene with the killer makes me full on ugly cry, one of the few things keeping me from replaying it right now lol.
<.< I always hurt my companions by mistake with those storms lol, I completely forgot that was in Origins.
In Origins so many characters were superb, but Leliana and Alistair stood out for me. My party was always Leliana, Alistair and Morrigan.
DA2. Thought the character quality dropped here and I felt less invested in them...maybe Aveline.
DAI. Cassandra and Varric.
Favorite backstory by far in origin was always the poor city elf, and definitely twin blades there.
-Favourite Game: Dragon Age: Origins
-Favourite Moment: Witches Hunt DLC, when my Dalish Warrior Warden (who romanced Morrigan) got to see her again after searching for her & being able to leave together. Left a great closing out for that game and to see that return & get a bit expanded on in Inquisition was the whip cream of the whole thing.
-Favourite Character in Origins: Sten with him dead pan humor and consistent lack of understanding of Fereldan customs lol tho was "super" thrilled about the qunari society retcon from his statements.
-Favourite Character in DA:2: Merril, loved her quirkness and drive to finish her mirror. even tho it came at a heavy expense it really was a great bit of story expansion from her role in the dalish origins. Tho it left me wishing they carried a bit more from the origin backstories (loved the bhelen cameo)
-Favourite Character in Inquisition: Cole, his ability to be empathic and his drive to help & the dangers that can come from good intentions, leading to his decision to become more spirit or human oriented which both were very compelling.
-Favourite Character in Veilguard: -_- mentioned at the beginning. didnt play longer then an hour before refunded. maybe manfred cause matt mercer *shrugs*
-Favourite Class: hard to choose really, each has they're own amazing abilities that set them apart and one of my gripes for VG, the non mages felt effective despite no magic & with VG everyone is magic and taking away their uniqueness as non mages.
But otherwise I'd say Rogue Assassins but, loved the Arcane Warrior also didn't get a chance to try it but i was interested the the melee mage build in VG cause it reminded of it. Also Blood Mage & Knight Enchanter were great. Also Templar was great.
-Favourite Backstory: Hard split between the both Nobles (Origins Humans & Dwarf) both are quite satisfying to be able bring a bit of revenge on Bhelen & Howe, between seeing majority of your family executed or being exiled into the deep roads by your sibling after they killed your other sibling. Creates a great motivational drive for the game.
I also enjoyed Hawke's backstory as escapees from the blight & they're attempt to navigate it as best as they can.
Agreed, I'm so pleased people joined in.
I always had Morrigan and Allistair together just because she is always snatching his wig lol.
I couldn't do city elf, it was too sad, I like that they went there though. It's a great introduction to how the world saw the elves at that time.
You're welcome! It's okay to not like this game, no one is here to invalidate your feelings. This is all about love for the series even if it's just past games. <3
:( I might go play that Morrigan dlc, I'm still jealous though. Lol it didn't end the same for Solas in Tresspasser DLC. It was cute though, I watched a streamer play it and I was squealing with happiness for the Warden and Morrigan. I hope they both show up in the next game.
Lol I love Sten so much. I go out my way every time to find those baked goods for him.
I keep hearing youtubers mention that Matt Mercer guy, did he play in other Bioware games?
I was really sad they didn't add blood mage in vg, I personally loved the mage line though. I think I mostly like that there are so many unique builds you can put together. I always played the same class in every game, but in this one there were different armors, skills, and enchantments that made it more plausible to have different builds. In my first run, I did a spellblade mage build. In my second one, before the game crashed, I was doing a heavy beam mage build. They were brutal. I just wish they added more blood mage stuff.
I think we can just all say that Origins did it best when it comes to most of the story backgrounds. I have never seen any other game come close to their introduction backgrounds, except for Fable 2. I love how all the back stories eventually tie into the game. The noble human, circle mage, and city dwarf ones are all my favorite. I do love the noble dwarf one too though.

And this is the one I watched on Awakening/Witch Hunt since I haven't played those. Also amusing.

Both men go through the whole series if you want to check them out, hilarious.
If your like watching people talk for hours and make jokes about each other then transition into some heavy story elements id recommend it, lots of great moments over the years
