[No Spoiler] Question about first dialogue with Neve

Hello, I'm playing the game with the intention of doing a Neve romance.

When you first get to the Lighthouse you have a dialogue for Harding and Neve. With Neve there was a heart option, but I saw a question mark option and I thought to ask that first because, like most modern dialogues, I supposed that after that interaction it would go back so that I could end the dialogue with the heart one.

After that the dialogue ended right away, so I was not able to try the heart option, even though I still got some approval from Neve. I hope that if I do like this sometimes I will not be locked out of the romance honestly.

Does anyone know anything about the matter?

The bottom of the dialog wheel, that changes the questions available (new wheel), does let you ask them without changing the main once. Rest is an "pick one option" and we move on.

Romances are very long and you get multiple options to follow up on them. Missing one heart will not stop a romance.
