How do I beat Calivan on Nightmare?

Hai Guyz,

So I made it to Calivan but out of potions. I have a mage with a fire and electric spell. I am also using Nieve. I can't seem to dodge any of his attacks and it is annoying me. Worse yet, it seems I cannot exit the Ossuary aside from reloading from a point before I went in. Is there a way out of my predicament?

Fire and electricity are not the ideal way to fight him, but it's still possible to beat him. Use electricity agains Calivan and fire against the demon that spawns later on. Another way would be to use a cold weapon or respec you spells, so you can make better use of Calivan's weakness.

If Neve already has her healing spell unlocked, make sure to have it active. On nightmare, especially in the beginning you should always bring at least one party member who can act as a healer. Also make sure you (the PC, not Neve - except if she can't heal yet) have a synergy with Lucanis, so you can detonate his sundered ability.

Otherwise the fight is pretty straight forward. The first phase shouldn't be a problem, in the second make sure to take out his mirror images when he summons them, the third phase is the demon, and the fourth is identical to the second if I recall it correctly.
