Who is in your party?
For my first playthrough, I used Davrin as a tank, and Bellara as a healer/love interest. I only deviated from this during quests that forced me to use a certain party member because I loved using detonations.
However, In previous DA games I often switched it up just to get the different dialog.

Do you keep the same members over and over or do you mix it up?

For mechanics i used harding and davrin to get combos, but triple mage with emmrich and neve was quite an amusing steamroller too

Although i kept mixing it up for more banter when i went exploring

Taash for tank when i played mage and Bellara for healing and crowd control. Might exchange Bellara for Neve against enemies weak to ice.

I've played through a few times, choosing companions for combos. My Rook is a mage this time through, so I tend to party with Davrin and Emmrich, or Taash and Harding.

I mixed it up, tending to pick companions based on (1) whoever was associated with the region's faction, and (2) who among the rest had the lowest bond level. Partly it was because I didn't want to hear the same banter over and over, and partly it was because to ensure that all were reasonably leveled up.

I switch it around all the time. In my first playthrough I made sure everyone was synergizing. On my second playthrough I skilled them completely different and don't rely much on detonations, so I mix them up even more.

I usually try to make at least one companion detonate/apply with me and keep swapping everyone around to hear them talk. I'm playing a warrior and have Detonate Weakened abilities combo'ed with an Apply Weakened rune, so I can essentially prime and detonate myself, as well as any companion using Weakened. Pair that with almost 1300 stagger on my one-handed axe and another 600 on my smaller sword and another 500 on my shield, plus perks that restore my Rage and Ultimate when I stagger enemies and/or finish them, I'm pretty tanky. I also wear the Lord's of Fortune armor with perks unlocked, so whenever I parry, my teammates' attack goes up, and I'm constantly parrying. And I unlocked the skill in the Champion branch at level 30 that lets you parry unblockable hits. And let's not forget my coveted and most favorite armor item: The Iron Veil helm. LOL
I don't have a party. I have Emmrich and Lucanis. Always and forever :Laughing_Varric:

Sometimes I just follow them around, watching them destroying all enemies

(And for party banters, I found a nice spot in treviso to enjoy the banters)

I am playing an affliction (necro) tank and always take Taash (romance) and Emmrich. If I need someone for story purposes I drop Emmrich.

Playing on the difficulty above normal and the game is super easy tbh, might be the build but I just melt almost everything, doesn't matter what my companions have.

I usually take whoever I'm romancing, which is Davrin, this time and another person if it's normal quests. If it's faction quests, I take that person and either their romance option or someone who skills align with mine or theirs.

Ooo I like the idea of taking a companions romance interest along on their quests!

i'm playing Mage, using Bellara ( vortex and heal ) with Lucanis (Adrenaline rush ) for Boss fights and groups of ennemies
Harding with Davrin for groups of ennemies but Davrin taunt makes any fight so easy, Bellara with Neve is funny too with Vortex and Blizzard

It's honestly so cute, they are often flirting with each other and I'm just there giggling.

Harding and Neve

I tried to use certain people depending on where the quests were or where I was exploring: Emmerich for necropolis, neve for minrathous, taash for rivaine.... or if a specific person reach out to their contacts and I was to meet them, I would bring that person with me, just to make sense like, oh Harding reached out to these people, I'll bring Harding.
I think it was a nice way to continue mixing up my party and level everyone up. At this point, since Lucanis and Neve have developed a relationship of sorts, I pair them together when I go to Treviso or Dock Town.

Lucanis and Harding. Both applied sunder and my spellblade had 50% cost on blast abilities and high mana regen, so spammed Meteor to combo off them and was the detonator throughout.
