So you sell items at one vendor just to sell it to another?
I dont really understand those weird items you can buy for a couple of gold that do literally nothing. Just so u can sell them for probably the same amount of gold to the next merchant and also get like 5 reputation for it.
Am I missing something here or what is the real mechanic here?
Who can properly explain?

The generic valuables? Yes, that's what they're for. If you want to get a faction store to tier 4, you'll need to get that faction's reputation all the way to 3200 and that might take some selling.

You got permanent boosts with some valuables from vendors they are hidden and you can level the faction you want the best type of gear upgrades from if you want to role play further.

Yeah. They pretty much exist to sell to other vendors. lol. I used them to be able to max out the shadow dragons because I didn't want to go and grind for enough random junk.

I think the purpose is primarily if you want faction rep, but I got so much just from destroying random crates/boxes/jars that I never needed to buy any vendor loot to sell for faction rep.
