I was on last mission trying to block everything and wipe 6 time for no reason. I turn berserk and switch it to 2/5 difficulty and was so eveident.. IDK why they put this when we already have partner to do the same thing. Timeburst in immortals of aveum is the same mess but we can choose when to use it at least.

Maybe because im a rogue

The whole perfect dodge and parry thing is terribly done. I play rogue and I don't even bother trying.
Naamtar Nov 12, 2024 @ 11:17pm
If you play a mageblade your abilities are off cooldown so much that you don't need to worry about dodging or parrying, you just i-frame your way through fights spamming them.

I have no idea what your issue is because your writing is incomprehensible.

Anyway I have zero issues with perfect block and dodge.

Wow, I typed all this and just saw you said you already did a run with rogue lol I'm just gonna pop some thing here for others then.

I play as rogue on nightmare, and just finished the game yesterday. Dodging and parrying take practices, so now that you're this far, I think practice is not the best way so I'm gonna recommend on things that indirectly help you instead.

I'm Veil Ranger but not entirely, since aiming is hard for me so I just grab Storm's Path and couple of small boosts there. If you're struggling with multiple enemies, Storm's Path is great for cc, and the push back gives you some space too. That alone is worth the points. Never try on any other specialization so I can't recommend any other ways tho.

Now the main thing of dodging, I dodge a lot so I kinda know when to start dodging even before the hit marker pop up. It's just that, be dodgy, even when you don't have to dodge. But since you struggled with this, i-frame could be a better choice. For me it's Rain of Decay (necrotic aoe skill). When you sense (yes, sense, not just see) a hit you can't dodge or parry, just hit Rain of Decay and you'll be fine. The animation is a little longer than others. Also, enemy will get stunt lock from it too. Only a couple that don't get stunt lock inside it, the last boss too iirc, but i-frame alone is good enough. So yeah, i-frame and a bit extra time for you to adjust your position (I even kill lvl32 crossroad boss when I'm lvl20 with this trick). Hit the skill, run inside or pass through it and enemies will follow you and got stuck there.

For parrying, I really not recommend it if you're this far and still don't get the hang of it. Nightmare is even harder to time. But if you really want to try, try it in an easier way. Pop your invulnerability up before you try. Fortify rune is great, Taash skill is great, and at this stage, I think you should get a legendary rune that grants tons of buff and also invulnerability. Pop it up and goes crazy on it. You can wait for parry if you want or go crazy on charge heavy or light attack too. Oh, slow is good too, but I really not recommend it cause it could mess with your sense of timing. One time I even get hit from charge attack twice cause the slowing time makes my i-frame goes off before the enemy charge through me.

So yeah, if you struggle with doing it, skills and runes can help you do it a bit easier.

Oh, I never record my play, can't really show you that. I can send you my save if you want to try the build and all I guess.

Also I kinda lost now. The slow motion happens only when you do a perfect dodge. If you get the slow motion, that means you're doing it right. What I said is for those who fail to dodge and take a hit tho. What should happen is you dodge and get a slow motion, not getting slow motion then fail to dodge.

Perfect block/parry is when we get the white icon above Rook's head, that means enemy attack is coming to hit you, then we hit the block key when the icon turns yellow. Only when it turns yellow. Hitting the block key before that is guarantee you to fail the block/parry.

Thx for your help @Maichrasar
I'm french Canadian so maybe im hard to understand but this is my post point. WHY they put slow motion on perfect dodge/block? I understand when i take a hit im kinda shock and it take time to recover but why when im doing good they put slow motion. EXAMPLE: i know when yellow circle pop i have "ex" 1 sec before miss my click for the perfect block.. With the slow motion the "1sec" is affected by the slow motion. This i my point.

THX a lot again and i apologise if my answer look aggressive
