Is an incarnate of the blight, but now self-aware and intelligent, whispering guidance into minds, driving madness, pushing the evolution of conflict that leads to where the Dragon Age world now finds itself

Basicially, they're the Tevinter mages that made it into the Golden City and probably turned it into the Black City. Or at least were influencing those mages to do as such, alongside the events up until Veilguard.
If they were planning to do a DLC, which at this point won't happen anyway, it would've probably been something like the Arrival DLC in ME2.
However to be fair it is most likely that after focus group testing they realized that it wasn't going to be well received. Which of course led to the cancellation of any extra content they had planned.
Like with every other game release there will be leaks from inside the studio and also data mining that will bring the truth to light. Though that won't be for at least a few months once the heat dies down lol.
As I recall, they said that they we not releasing DLC before the game was released.
This tells me, that they had no faith in this game. And after 10 years, multiple lead developers, and a total change in scope TWICE (was originally going to be a "live service" game, and before that, a MMO)
My best guess is that someone higher up at EA saw what a train-wreck this game was going to be, and figured they had threw enough money at a failed product, and that they should just release it "as is" to try to re-coup something -anything! And move on to something that might make that company actual money....
Someone should tell that to the Baldurs Gate 3 devs that they had no faith in their game considering they also didn't have plans for expansions/DLC.
The people interviewed were pretty clear on the reason.
Inquisition didn't feel like a complete game until the DLCs were released. Which is true if you've played the game.
They didn't think a game should feel incomplete at launch like that.
That's a good mentality for developers to have, in my opinion.
That's how Larian do things, though.
What they usually do is release a Definitive Edition that might have some extra content thrown in and is free to people who have already purchased the game.
The difference is the studios, and the product.
Larian doesn't do DLC, and to my knowledge has never released a DLC for any of the games they made before (but then again, I am not a Larian Studio's fan)
How many DLC has Bioware/EA released for DA:O?
Or DA 2?
Or DA: I ?
All said they have released 3 previous games, and about a dozen DLC ranging from small to multi-hour expansions...
THIS is the FIRST Dragon Age game to NOT get DLC....
