Warrior Class Build Question or perfect defense

I'm currently 25 hours in, level 23 warrior, and looking for tips to tweaking the warrior build to my liking. I'm finding it a bit overwhelming with looking through the tree and deciding which skills to go for and stuff. but compared to other comparable games I find it a lot more enjoyable and intuitive to realize what kills complement each other and stuff, and I like that. But I don't enjoy diving deep in the stats to tweak my strengths, so I have normally played these games on a more forgiving difficulty.

Now, on this game though, I really find the combat incredibly fun and satisfying, only rivaled by Space Marines 2's engaging combat. So I don't want to make it too easy, so I have made an effort. Now, the only thing I am still struggling with is timing the "perfect defense" to parry incoming attacks. In short, I'm asking for tips for ways to build my warrior for easier defense and parry.

TLDR: Tips for bigger parry window as a warrior? Both ranged and melee, preferably.
